How to unlock the Loaded with Lien achievement in RWBY: Grimm Eclipse - Definitive Guide

This is very easy to unlock, and can be done either solo or with other people. Simply start a Horde match from the multiplayer menu and then keep killing Grimm to earn Lien. Tougher Grimm give higher amounts, but there are enough Grimm to earn this amount normally by around waves 6-7.
Spending money on turrets doesn't affect the achievement, as it counts your overall total, not your current amount.

I got this basically without thinking in Grimm Gauntlet mode as lv10 Blake, I'm sure character preference etc doesn't matter too much but either way I preferred this to horde simply because you didn't have to care about protecting the whatever. Just stay alive and eventually it's yours, around wave 8.

The Lien you collect throughout a Horde match does not need to be held all at once. You can spend it on turrets as long as you have 20,000 Lien throughout the match. This is inevitable if you complete a Horde match, so refer to "Horde Master" for a Horde mode guide.
