How to unlock the Finders Keepers achievement in Ryse: Son of Rome - Definitive Guide

Hi, i post here my full Collectibles Guide. Ryse has 90 Collectibles in 3 Categories, 42 Chronicles, 27 Scrolls and 21 Vistas. All Collectibles are immediately saved when you pick them up.
In the Mainmenu you can see how many Collectibles you have in each Chapter and which is missing.

Videoguide:
The clickable links will open in a new window and the video will start at the time or at the Item. In the video you have below an overview of each Category, the total number and the current state. The object that is currently being executed is highlighted in BOLD. In the Youtube Description you have the same Timeline too. Directly on Youtube dont open a new Window when you click a Timestamp. (Works only there)

I have a lot of spoilers used here to provide a better overview, simply fold the spoiler from your currently needed.

There is actually a record of your collectibles in the campaign tab of the menu, although it doesn't show chronicles as far as I can tell.

Just want to add that I came across a glitch on the 4th scroll on Chapter 7 - The Wrath of Nemesis. The body that had the scroll was not green and I could not collect the scroll. I found that if I entered an execution on top of it, the scroll prompt (Press A) would appear during the sequence. I continuously tapped A during the execution and it appeared once finished.

It might work for anyone else that has encountered issues where the button prompt wont appear.

I wanted to mention that I followed the guide from mission 4 onwards, then came back and did the other 3 missions.
The problem I had, was once I got to the point where I KNEW I'd collected, it didn't pop when it should've. I figured I'd just missed one.
While working on my Legendary playthrough, it popped suddenly, not near a collectible, just after a checkpoint. So a little sidenote, progressing through could pop the achievement for you.

Same thing happened to me that happened to Trimskink. It just randomly popped on my legendary playthrough.

it's worth mentioning that the chronicles are not location specific. in other words, if you pick up the last chronicle in the level, it will still show the first one unlocked. whereas the vistas and scrolls will have the last ones unlocked if you pick up the last ones in the level. i had what i thought were the first three chronicles and went back and realized i was actually missing the very first one. so basically there is no way to know which chronicles you still need in any certain level. you just have to remember where you checked or check them all.

Recently purchased the Survival DLC completed every achievement, excluding Finders Keepers, in which, I thought the original chronicles were numbered 42, when I downloaded the new content it added 9 extra chronicles of those 9, i'm missing the last three chronicles 7, 8, 9. Help anyone, please? didn't know they added extra content to campaign when I downloaded it :(

Just giving my experience; I picked up all 3 collectibles and the game showed that I had all of them but never got the Finders Keepers achievement, I had a similar issue with Dead Rising 3 and so I followed that guide: I unplugged my XBox One, deleted my local data and started over -- sadly I played thru the entire game (at least in Recruit mode) and at my last Chronicle I plugged the Xbox back in and what do you know POP!; Finders Keepers; POP! There's No Such Thing As Luck -- so maybe this is a solution to the glitch, again just giving my experience.

Fix for Glitched Collectable Achievements (Credit goes to Adamantium NZ on x360a)

Step 1 remove your profile from the xbox one
Step 2 to uninstall ryse and all addons
Step 3 recover your GT as soon as your account is back on the xbox disconnect it from the internet.
Step 4 still disconnected install Ryse and start new campaign and play untill the first scroll you should now be able to collect it and it will say 1/27 collected. now play untill the next checkpiont.
Step 5 reconnect to the internet it should now ask you to update accept the update.
Step 6 when you get booted back to the dash go to your achievements this should now cause the glitched achievement to unlock!!!

Update ive also found this works for the chronicles if you carry on in the first level to where the first chronicle is as soon as you pick it up it should now say 100% collected and the achievement should pop!!

you can use this solution with out resetting your multiplayer progress. after step 5 when you pop your achievement. you can chose to load game from cloud save witch has your old stats.

Posted this on x360a - might help anyone who gets stuck...

"I completed the game twice, collected everything. Smartglass shows a missing Chronicle on the 3rd level, Xbone showed it missing too (41/42). I start the level again and the Chronicle (last one on the level) is showing as already collected (ie not glowing green). I follow the thread on here to try and unglitch it - delete the game - reinstall offline, play the level again and pick up the Chronicle, then go back online...and nothing.

I've lost all my SP character progress (no big deal cause I unlocked all the other SP achievements) and every collectible has been reset to 0 (bar the 1 bloody chronicle I picked up)."

"It's now worked. I collected the chronicle I was missing and quit at the next checkpoint. Powered down the Xbone and restarted. The achievement didn't "pop" but it's now showing as achieved.

Hope this helps someone else stuck with the same glitch."

Chronicles glitched for me. Refused to acknowledge 1 chronicle I had collected.

Performed this trick and worked! Multiplayer level does get wiped, but I still have my gold and my items.

Got The glitch with The cronicals. In The,main menus there is 21/21. The achievement list sais 100%. Cheevo didn't unlock.

I haven't finish the MP , so I must wait. I will give a try and,will start the game on another console from my Bro.
maybe it is not necessary to remove the gamertag and game

My chronicles glitched. I got all of them but no achievement pop. Turned the console on a day later and it was unlocked when I looked at my achievements. :)

please edit guide you can use this solution with out resetting your multiplayer progress. after step 5 when you pop your achievement. you can chose to load game from cloud save witch has your old stats.

I had my chronicles stuck at 97% even though in game it said 51/51. I used a slightly modified version of this since I only had a digital license and I was playing on a non-home xbox. Some of these steps probably made no difference but here it is:
1) Remove profile
2) Delete Ryse
3) Add profile
4) Download Ryse
5) Open Ryse, cancel cloud data sync as quick as possible (if you don't do it fast enough, delete local save data and try again)
6) Go offline
7) Collect all chronicles in the level that caused it to glitch
8) Go online
And that's it, achievement popped!

For everyone who's achievements tracker is stuck on less than 95%, i.e. missing more than one scroll/chronicle/vista according to the achievements tracker while having found them all in game, this solution can be done multiple times.

I did this solution once and unlocked the chronicles achievement (meaning I just needed one more chronicle for it to pop) but the other two remained glitched.

I then repeated the whole process (remove GT, uninstall, offline install, new campaign etc.) and was able to unlock both other glitches achievements after this second time.

So if it doesn't pop for you or if your achievements tracker is stuck at 90% (or lower) instead of 95%, just rinse and repeat!

Feend Returns solution still works fine. Just to add you can play the first mission too, mine it was glitched on the 3rd mission. 16/11/2022.

A COMPLETE guide of all 90 collectibles in Ryse: Son of Rome can be found HERE.

The collectibles, including chronicles, scrolls and vistas, are found within the 8 story related chapters of the game. Upon picking up the last collectible of each variety, you will be rewarded the achievement(s).

You can check your progress using the menu at any point during the game as well, and picking one up will save it immediately. Feel free to replay chapters to pick up anything you've missed.

To anyone who has the game glitch on them.
I couldn't be bothered to uninstall everything and remove my gt so instead i went to:
1. go to settings
2. go to network
3. go offline
4. go to manage game for Ryse
5. delete save
6. load up game get missing collectibles
7. go back online
achievements should pop, it's alot quicker and easier then uninstalling everything.

Unlocked after collecting the final Chronicle in Chapter VIII.

There are a total of 90 collectibles spread out across the 8 chapters, there are:

21 Vistas
27 Scrolls
42 Chronicles

If you have a tablet you can download the Xbox One Smartglass app. If you load up the Ryse companion app and click on timeline it will show you where in the level all the collectibles are found along with short videos to help find them. Some of them are a little confusing so for anyone stuck or for anyone without a tablet (the companion all won't work on smartphones) you can use the videos below.
