Vista's are one of three types of collectables. Vista's are always shield collectables. They glow green before you collect them.

On the very first level, the beginning. After the section where you man the scorpion. You will find yourself outside the doors of Nero's palace to your left and the left of the door is a glowing green shield. This is the first Vista.

I collected my second vista which also happened to be a shield. he shield glowed a distinctive green colour

Thanks for the comment I tried to make it clearer in the solution. Working on a collectables guide. 'Xbox record that' is helpful for making one.
