Ryse: Son of Rome

Hi,

Just to let you know that I found a quicker and easier way to do this. Ive also put the video link to show visual on it.

When you start the level jump of the platform you are on, and move to the right hand side behind the barrels.

1. Kill the two archers on the right (take two hits each - switch between them both after each hit as its quicker)

2. Then focus on the opposite side. There are about 6 guys - but you only need to focus on the END TWO/THREE, the others only attack you - so use the barrels to sheild from them & kill the end two twice.
After that you will need to be quick and run out and grab more spears (from either the other side of the barrels (two) or to the stash further out) and then focus again on the right hand side - left soilder and the top guy are the main two but you need to kill all 3 - again two hits each.

3. You will then get the FIRE VOLLEY sign - use kinect for quickness or run and hide in a corner while pressing R1 for FIRE VOLLEY

This is by far the most annoyingly frustrating part of the game on Legendary setting, the rest is fine, but this is by far the easiest way to do it.

The other guide makes you kill them all - BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO, TO REACH THE CHECKPOINT........

This level contains one of the most frustrating parts of the whole game on Legendary. After assaulting the beach and overrunning the archers trying to hold your formation back, you must defend your Roman line from archers while they hold off the barbarians so your archers may catch up to the front line.

1) The trick is to get close to your targets. The closer you are, the quicker the Pila charges for an accurate throw.

2) Alternate targets! It takes two Pila hits on legendary to kill the archers. When one archer is hit with a Pila, they go into an animation where they stumble backwards. During this time you want to switch to another nearby archer and throw at them. By the time the first archer is getting ready to fire a shot, you should be able to finish them off. This strategy prevents the archers from shooting unhindered while you try to pick them off one at a time.

4) The closer you are to the buildings, the less arrows you will have to dodge. However, if you are too close, the Pilas will hit the building and not your target.

3) The Romans "morale bar" will fall dangerously low. Pay close attention and as soon as you see the voice command bar prompt for "FIRE VOLLEY!", activate it (I should point out that using Kinect and actually using the voice command is essential! Manually activating it can take too long). Your archers will fire and kill all remaining enemies and you will have completed the segment.
