S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Towards the end of the game, you'll reach the Subtle Matter main story mission in the Burnt Forest where you need to make key decisions to choose the ending of the game.

There are four main endings to the game, each with an associated achievement:

• Brave New World
• Project Y
• She Will Never Be Free
• Today Never Ends

In order to unlock All Quiet in the Zone, you need to avoid the Brave New World ending and take one of the other three paths.

• Project Y
• She Will Never Be Free
• Today Never Ends

If you are planning on unlocking all four endings, then no particular effort is needed, as this achievement will be unlocked by three of the four possible endings.

It's possible that there are multiple ways to get this, but I unlocked this while working on the "Eternal Shining" ending to get the Today Never Ends achievement. Make the following decisions towards the end of the game.

[EDIT] On a second playthrough, I was aiming for the Strelok ending and that path also included the "Down Below" mission, so I assume that this achievement will also unlock on that path.

Subtle Matter (Burnt Forest):
In Orbita Station, after the "Get Into the Pod" objective, watch the cutscene and you will be confronted by Scar upon exiting the pod. When prompted, select the "I need more time" option, then leave the complex.

Dangerous Liaisons (Malachite):
Just follow the objectives until you get to the Troposphere Comm Station. I had the ward pass, so used that to enter, rather than sneaking in. Keep going until you get the objective to "Activate the Control Panel". During the following cutscene, select the "Escape" option.

Now play the game as normal, completing the assigned missions and objectives.

For me, I had the following missions:

• Escape From The Cage (Chemical Plant)
• The Boundary (Chornobyl Anomalous Zone)
• The Road to the Foundation (Chornobyl Anomalous Zone)
• Down Below (Prypiat)

During Down Below, you're forced into a fight with . Defeat him to unlock the achievement.

The battle is relatively straightforward, just ignore the other soldiers and focus on the boss. After you do a certain amount of damage, he will stumble for a few seconds with a blue glow. Quickly run up close to activate a cutscene and the next stage of the fight. Repeat this until he is defeated.

If you continue down this thread, you can also unlock Legends Never Die and Today Never Ends.

Use your best weapons, and after a few good hits he will go into a shielded state. Run up to him and it will start a cutscene.

2nd part is a bit tougher as you will have a lot if shots being fired from the shadows. I had a lot of health packs/bandages so keep an eye on your health and pick him off whe you can.

Yo get to this stage, you have to select escape when he captures you earlier, you fight him in 3 of the 4 endings so just make sure you don't side with him 'I'm with you'
