How to unlock the Taking it for granted achievement in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl - Definitive Guide

Keep a low durability weapon (preferably pistol because it weighs less) after looting, as low as possible and go to Zelissya (or any safe zone/base) and make a manual save.

Then buy lots of bullets from trader and go outside the base and shoot with the low-durability gun until you get the achievement (basically get the durability to Zero).

Reload you save and Happy Hunting!

I ended up getting this while just standing outside during an emission. Seems to ruin your gear well enough and as long as you have some medkits you can stand around for a bit before it becomes too much to try healing.

Another method that may work if someone confirms it is throwing gear into an acid anomaly. If you drop a weapon into one of those it will eat through the weapons condition and break it. If picking it up doesn't make it pop than grabbing a worn down weapon off an enemy and standing in the acid for awhile should once it breaks.

The simple way to get this achievement is to wait until an Emission kicks off – they start to become pretty regular when you get towards the end of the Lesser Zone chapter.

Then, when it says get to cover, don’t. Instead, when it starts to do damage, heal with a medkit. Rinse and repeat until this achievement unlocks. It took us about three medkits to get to that point – and our gear wasn’t too far off 100% either!

Once your equipped weapon breaks, the Taking it for granted achievement will then unlock.

You can heal yourself with first aid kits while under emission, then just die and load up.
Mine fell out like that. Apparently, the ejection also breaks the weapon.

It is enough to break one weapon to 0%. Find any weapon with a red icon of breakage (about 30%). You can shoot at dogs, flesh, etc. Not badly breaks weapons anomaly about 2%.
Finding a weapon immediately with 0% is not suitable.
