Not as hard as it sounds... just stand there and react to his moves. It will tell you clearly where the attack is coming from. Jumping in my experience is by far the hardest because the game thinks you are either attacking or lunging forward.. it will take a few tries because of this. Just make sure after you dodge you go in for a single punch when you get a chance afterwards. And make sure to nail the counter attacks.
