If you can, keep track of which gold saint you're fighting (level 3 matches). Aquarius and Pisces gave me up to 5 assist phrases: 1 or 2 in 5000 pts matches, 3-4 in 10000 pts matches. Sagittarius gave me only 1 or 2, so it seems a bit random and as far as I can tell, no one knows exactly how they're given. Some assist phrases also appear in chests.
Depending on the match level you're aiming at (5000 or 10000 lvl 3 matches), try to start with at least a chest on your way to the gold saint. Most of the time, you'll get points though (boosts or coins), but that should help reduce the grind a bit. Get back to the character selection menu and try again if you're not satisfied with the path you're given.
The 10000 pts gold saints should be reached in 6 fights maximum, with a total score of over 50000 pts prior to the final match. Boosts (I didn't play the game in English, sorry) help you get there faster.
Gold saint matches are downgraded to 5000 pts if you can't reach them in 6 matches or less, so plan ahead who you want to fight, and when.
Your best bet, character-wise, are Sorento (spam the special attack which hits 3 times in a row, every character falls for it - can't remember its name though) and Aries Mu (soul gold version): his Crystal Wall is perfect against the aggressive AI, and if the opponent rushes towards you and is blocked by your wall, you can follow up with Mu's other special, Stardust Revolution to make things faster.
Aquarius Camus is also a good bet with his Mu-like Ice Coffin and Aurora Execution specials.
All in all, this trophy is a total pain in the ass and an unnecessary grind. I deleted the game as soon as I got it :)

There are a total of 179 Assist Phrases to unlock, and many are unlocked through natural play, like completing challenges and scoring S ranks in the Legend of Cosmo mode, and by playing Battle of Gold mode.
Regarding the Assist Phrases that can be obtained in the Battle of Gold Mode, in the "normal" version you must fight a total of 3 fights per Saint. In the 2nd and 3rd fights of each Saint you will obtain an Assist Phrase as a reward. When you get an S rank in all of the battles with one Saint, you will be granted an extra fight against the same character that you are using. Win this fight and you will also get an Assist Phrase as a reward, but you will only get one chance to do so, if you don't S rank it the first time you cannot replay the extra battle (don't worry, you will still be able to get the assist phrase in the Battle of Gold (Another)).
After you do this with all 12 Saints, you will have access to Battle of Gold (Another). The operation of this wheel is different from the first. You will start at a random location near the center, which will be called "Rank 1". Win several times in this Rank to get the score of 20,000 points which will allow you to reach "Rank 2". Lastly, obtain a score of 50,000 points to advance to the final battle. Each final battle offers a random reward that can be a title, an Assist Phrase or CP points.
Here are some clarifying facts when it comes to grinding for Assist Phrases while in this mode:
- 12 Assist Phrases are obtained for defeating each God Gold Saint as the 3rd-4th battle: You'll know if you've done it right if the Prize for beating the God Gold Saint is 10000.
- 12 Assist Phrases are obtained defeating each God Gold Saint as the 8th-9th battle: You'll know if you've done it right if the Prize for beating the God Gold Saint is 5000.
- You will need to find other Assist Phrases from Chests, defeating a "10,000" God Gold Saint for a second time will not yield any Assist Phrase, you'll have to defeat a "5000" version.
