How to unlock the Double Trouble achievement in Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Definitive Guide

The co-op in this game is Xbox Live only. So split screen isn't gonna work. Anyway, the good news is that whether you are the host of the game or the person joining, the time will count for both. The only thing is that you pretty much have to this with a friend because the "Smart Match" option fucking sucks. Seriously, I waited like 30 minutes looking for one. Don't waste your time.

This can't be idled. I've tried with two people today. The first we both had wired controllers but if our screen darkened then it paused it for the other person, nullifying progress. The second we both had wired controllers with me playing while the other guy rubber banded his controller so his character continuously walked into a corner. Again, his controller went idle after ten minutes.

Not sure if is the game itself or Xbox live, but this achievement is currently bugged. Progress doesn't tack correctly. I'm currently at 3:11 hours played in the in-game timer, but only 91% on the achievement. In order to update progress I had to open the club menu on the dashboard, but even that only awards partial progress. This took closer to 5 hours to unlock.

Also I have the stupid glitch where some of your 'takeover' progress is glitched. So if you have yet to really start the game, even better, then I can go through and do a bunch of activities for you and hopefully fix my progress.

Fortunately this doesn't need to be done in one long continuous 3 hours stint and can be broken up into smaller sessions.

There's three ways of getting this ...

1. Find someone who either needs it or is willing to give 3 hours, climb up a tall building away from random enemy interruptions and leave the game idle for 3 hours. Make sure to disable the power saving options for the controller and console in PS4 settings menu beforehand.

2. Use the built in matchmaking to find a partner. The problem with this is the host will most likely kick you for not helping so you will have to find another partner. I did it this way and i played around 7 games total before i got the full 3 hours.

Another problem with matchmaking is every time it fails to find a partner it kicks you back to the main menu requiring several button presses to get back to searching for one. Why they didn't put a retry option in is anyone's guess.

Keep trying is the best advice, you should get a partner in 5-10 tries.

3. If you've only just started playing, set the CO-OP privacy option to "open to all". This will allow you to get it while playing naturally by accepting requests to join your game. You should have the trpohy by the end this way through the combined amount of time spend allowing randos in.

This and the "Gnarly Wave" trophy are the 2 most annoying in the game IMHO.

This trophy is earned for simply being in co-op for a total time of three hours. Same as with Twenty-Twenty Vision, you do not actually have to be doing anything for the time to count, just simply being in a game with someone else.

You can see your total co-op playtime on the first page of the stats screen.

The time spent in co-op mode counts, even if you are alone.
We go in together, let’s say one leaves, the other “wait” completing tasks, after three hours the trophy will open even if the player has not rejoined.

You can agree with a friend and play together, but if this is not possible, then you can look for random people and play with them. At this time, you can perform tests to make it easier later.

We get the trophy even without friends. You can still find the game. The only problem is, it takes quite a bit of time for the most part.

It is also worth considering that if you are playing as a guy, then if suddenly the second person falls off, then as written above... the counter is ticking.

If you don’t find anything the first time, then it’s worth trying again. And it’s not a fact that two or three times will help. The second time I searched for the game for about 30 minutes.

Time spent in a network game also counts towards the Twenty by Twenty trophy (where you need to spend more than 20 hours in the game), provided that you have loaded the appropriate save game
