How to unlock the Don't Panic achievement in Saints Row IV: Re-Elected - Definitive Guide

EDIT 9/9/2015: People are reporting that these achievements are now unlocking normally!
This is a possible solution to unlocking both this achievement and Ghost in the Machine if they are glitched for you. As a heads up, this will only work if you have a physical copy of the game because it relies on being able to play without the patch being installed.
1. Disconnect from the internet and delete your save data. Make sure to select "only delete from console" if you want to be able to keep your saves.
2. Delete the game and DLC. You don't have to delete anything Gat Out Of Hell related.
3. Re-install the game. Make sure you are still disconnected from the internet and do not install the patch.
4. Play through the game until you complete the missions that the achievements have glitched for you. I would recommend playing slightly farther just to make sure you pass the point where the achievement would normally unlock.
5. Save the game and hit the home button and then quit from the main dash.
6. Reconnect to the internet and download the update for the game.
During the update the achievements should pop. They probably won't pop together and probably wont pop right at the beginning of the update. For me they popped about a minute apart or so after the download hit 3% but it might take a longer or shorter time.

When you say quit from dash you mean hit the one guide and then reconnect or home button and quit game?

This is an addition to the excellent solution above by The 7imekeeper (I used his method perfectly).
To save you replaying the game, his method also works if you load a saved game from just before the mission.
In my situation, I had two glitch. This and the ghost one.
I saved before each mission, and when it didn't pop when I passed the mission I carried on and finished the game normally. I was using the digital version, so had to buy the retail version to do it, but Once finished I followed the above method, except;
Instead of starting a new game, I loaded the save from just before the mission 'The Escape', did it, updated and it popped.
If the Ghost in the Machine also glitched for you , this method will save you five hours of replaying if you remember to make and keep a separate save, as a new game isn't required,

Lavindathar, are you saying you started the digital version, saved at certain points, bought the physical version, deleted the digital version but kept your saves, and loaded your saves against an unpatched physical version?
Or did you play through the physical version from the beginning?
