Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

None of the dominatrix weapon achievements had progress for me. When i was killing them i was targeting them until they died but i had assumed the burning effect would count too. I did make sure to kill and homies that decided to join in.

I need help with this, the flamethrower, minigun and grenade launcher dont seem to be tracking? I've done the dlc and most the main game I've got loads kills and its not tracking does it have to be in the dlc and certain enemies ?

I can't get this or the minigun to unlock. The grenade one unlocked without much effort but these seem to be stuck.

When are you killing them?

I've grinder for about an hour on the second level of dominatrix and multiple hours in free roam too. For each of the 3 dlc weapons and only the grenade launcher unlocked on the dominatrix level.

I've even tried starting a new save and it didn't work.

....Are you killing them when they've exited the cars or in them

Before... after doesn't matter I can't get it to unlock.

For me blowing the cars didn't work but ive hard comments on the other kill achievements that said people were blowing them up in the cars and having them all count so perhaps try letting them get out of the cars?

This just unlocked for me by destroying all the rival pony carts in "At the races" ...

Strange, I spose its cause they catch fire when killed. Have any kills with the flamethrower before that mission?

Not even one. I didn't get the achievement for blowing up all carts though...can't wait to do this over and over again until it pops.

Wow...I found out what's wrong. My Xbox still show the OMGWTFBBQ as achieved - but TA got it right and gave me the cart achievement. It is just labeled wrong. Good job Volition!

Could be an xbox issue but at least you got what you were after.

I did how many ever I did and nothing unlocked. I performed a few super beatdown kills and I got the achievement for 100 flamethrower kills. =/

Not complaining. Finally unlocked.

I don't know if it can help but I had problems unlocking the three achievements on ONE. It's sure the tracker doesn't show any progress but unlocks when it's done.
I also found the three achievements are messed up. I unlocked the one for the 250 kills with the minigun using the flame thrower and the flame thrower kills unlocked the minigun achievement. No problems for the granade launcher.
So my suggestion is to get each weapon and kill 100 or 250 enemies, keeping the count of the kills.

I would say I got this at the end of the game. With unlimited ammo and fully upgraded flamethrower. No problem with the other two. Just load the dlc mission back up. For me I felt I got the 100 sitting through the mission again as I had used it quite a lot in the open world.

Pain in the arse though. Hate flamethrower achievements.

This might be common sense but I missed it and wasted some time - these kills HAVE to come during DLC missions. I took all 3 weapons to normal missions and free roam and couldn't get the achievements to pop. When I stopped during the mission and racked up kills all three popped. Can also confirm that kills in cars do count, I don't think I killed more than 20 people when they were out of the car.

Does it have to be done in the one mission. Like not do some and then more later?

Passing along a tip shared by COILED V1PER on the Ultimate Hot Potato achievement - if you're confident that you've met your kill count with the flamethrower, hit your Xbox button, scroll to your achievements tab, go into "All achievements," and then go into your Saints Row IV achievements. For whatever reason, this makes the achievement(s) pop if the requirements have been met. Essential that you go into "All achievements" first, going straight to the achievement list for SR4 from the tab doesn't work.

The same thing happened to me as did to Yummy Baklava. I torched many many enemies, both in and out of cars, but once I did a super beatdown, POP.

I've been using and abusing this thing but not unlocking the achievement.
Is
there supposed to be a progress bar on this achievement? If so, I have no progress to show on this waste of a weapon.
Do enemies have to die from the fire stream or can they die later from the burn effect? Either way, by this point I'm rather certain I've killed enough directly in the stream by this point but it's seeming that the burn effect is overriding the damage output.

July 2019 - I can confirm:

Kills works only if done in the DLC missions (the 2nd mission is the best to grind this weapons out)

Kills made by blowing up cars DO COUNTS

The respective achievements trackers not only don’t work but they are mess up. I got the Minigun achievement while using the Flamethrower. And while using the minigun I got the “kill the dominatrix” achievement. But when I scan my GT with TA it was actually the Flamethrower’s achievement. Therefore my suggestion is to use the weapon until you unlock something and than check out on TA what you really have just unlocked, after that proceed to do the same with the other weapons.

I spent a better part of the hour trying to rank up kills with flamethrower. I was certain, that I had some kills already, and I'm 100% certain that I had killed more than a hundred enemies in the second Dominatrix mission. Nothing. I finally finish the mission, and leave the game sitting in a menu. A couple of minutes later, this achievement unlocks.

So, a little bit buggy. I don't know how many kills I've gotten since there are no trackers that I can think of, but I suspect I got more than 100. Perhaps the achievement unlock conditions are checked only at certain points, not in real time? Or maybe there was some lag in Xbox Live at the time, who knows. The point: don't lose hope.
