How to unlock the Zoo Keeper achievement in Saints Row IV: Re-Elected - Definitive Guide

Wardens look like alien version of the Hulk and as you progress through the main storyline you will fight them to gain elements for your superpowers. There is a circle around your map that is split into 6 parts and you have to fill up 5 of them by killing aliens and the warden appears.

Method 1: (Recommended)There is also a place in Steelport that is an alien controlled area that is east of Downtown and South of New Colvin. When you get to this area just kill aliens untill you get a warden kill the warden and repeat. If your having trouble i made a video for it.

Method 2:

Instead camp out in front of a gun store and kill aliens untill a warden comes. Wardens come after you get your Alien Notoriety to a certain level.
I was in front of a gun store so i could complete all of my gun challenges.
Hopes this helps pm me or comment if you have any questions or anything to add to the solution. If you give me a negative vote please comment or pm why so i can fix it.

Not sure I'm in the right place for Method 1, it's a square island ? Says restricted zone when you go there, killed loads of aliens but no warden appeared. Maybe I need to progress the game a little more ?

You might have to progress farther. There is a circle around your map that is split into 6 parts and you have to fill up 5 of them by killing aliens and the warden appears.

I think its funny that the cheevo only requires 25, yet the challenge requires 30.......just a thought....and I agree with the above post, 'Merica skyrockets your wanted level (no pun intended), and it just mows wardens down (even better than a maxed out Thumper)

Just had to farm a few of these myself, I used Method 1. I found using the 'Merica gun (with all of the upgrades to not worry about reloading and ammo) and the Explosion Buff, I was able to get a Warden to spawn in about 45 seconds. It took another 10 to take him down.

As you know if you've used 'Merica, you just spray and pray and your wanted level will fly up.

I noticed that going to the Army Base island and using the Inflato-Ray gun will only take you about 30 seconds to spawn in each warden. After each kill you should get about 1-2 bars of notoriety so it adds up very quickly!

Go anywhere in the city and start to cause mayhem. Use explosive weapons, the minigun or powers anything and keep it up until your notoriety bar reaches 5 full bars. When this happens a warden will then drop down ready for you to kill! Repeat this 25 times for the achievement and 30 times for the challenge. This will take you roughly 5 minutes per warden.

This achievement may take awhile so I recommend u play through the main story because there are around 4-5 wardens u will encounter to get Ur powers , after that u should do all the flashpoints as some of them spawn wardens, then for the remaining wardens u need to kill u should go to the military base at the bottom of the map and use telekenisis with the explosive element to kill aliens until a warden spawns and just keep rinsing and repeating and u should get the achievement :)

Wardens are very powerful enemies that you will encounter throughout the story. You will only encounter about 5 through the story though, so you're going to have to grind this. The only way to get a warden to spawn is by clearing certain flashpoints, or getting your notoriety up to the full 6 bars. If you have the island cleared, you'll still get notoriety on the police island. If you have unlimited ammo and spray RPGs or machine guns you can get a warden every 1-2 minutes. The best way to kill a warden is use the fire buff superpower, then keep shooting it with the assault rifle or RPG. They have a lot of health, will damage you quite a bit and stun you if one of their attacks hits.

Wardens show up for a number of reasons. One being that you completed a hotspot. Once you complete one, you have a chance of a warden showing up. They also show up if you get you notoriety to the 6th bar; as soon as it reaches this point a single warden will show up. Also doing flashpoints can possibly spawn a warden. They also show up as a part of the story to give you new powers, but those are limited and not enough to get what you need for this achievement or the corresponding challenge for killing 30 of them. So you will need to grind this out by increasing you notoriety to max several times. Something important to note is that if you kill a warden while in some else's game it will NOT count towards your achievement or your challenge; it should be noted that in some cases warden kills do count in another players game as long as you're the one to finish it off. Personally I had to do all my kills in my own game.

To fight/finish off a warden use your blast or stomp abilities to break his shield and then unload on him with your gun of choice. What I found most effective was the fully upgraded damage on the heavy smgs and then on top of that purchasing the acidic bullets upgrade as well. You should only need to knock his shield off twice if that with this setup. Once his health is drained you will be prompted to press to enter his body to absorb him. This will start a short quick time event. If you can't handle the quick time event because it's going too fast, let him win. This will kick you out and you will have to down his shields again; but he will go down super easy when you re-enter his body.

The scoring of destroyed guards is seriously buggy. For me, from the 12th to the 25th guards, 35 percent were not counted in the statistics.

The Guardian is the monster that appears when the Infamy bar (red, around the mini-map) fills the circle. To do this, just cause massive chaos and wet everything around. The “explosion” ability copes well with this. You just throw it into a crowd of enemies and they start banging one after another, quickly raising the strip to its top. Once it is full, you will be shown a small insert with the arrival of the guard. It will immediately rain fire and the rest of the enemies will disappear. It's easy to kill the guard - first knock down the shield with any ability, and then hit it with all available weapons. When it starts to sparkle, press and then do the QTE. And so 25 times. But in the end, you still need 30 of them to complete one of the tasks.

When playing in co-op, the death of a guard is only counted if one of the players completely brought the guard to the QTE and killed him. So kill either in singles or in turns.
