How to unlock the A Very Genki Holiday achievement in Saints Row IV - Definitive Guide
Genki Holiday Special: Appears after you have beaten the DLC campaign.
Number of instances: 3 (easy, medium, hard)
Locations:
Easy -> Burns Hill ( Upper left corner of the map)
Medium -> Rosen Oaks ( Right side Middle of the map)
Hard -> Sunset Park (Right side lower section of map close to star island)
These will appear first as unknown GPS events on your screen. If you are having trouble locating them, turn your activities only on using your D-Pad.
This works the same as Genki M.O.M. except you are throwing Ginger Bread people, Christmas trees and Menorahs though rings using telekinesis. There are two rounds for each of the instances.
Some people are having troubles with this. I tried throwing people first, then trees and then Menorahs and that seemed to work. If you are missing a tree, go back to the first area and pick them up.
You just need to complete this, you do not need Gold medals to get the achievement. However, if you still are missing gold medals for normal Genki M.O.M., then these will count towards that medal total.
Edit: As pointed out by Park Diesel, if the game glitches on you during the hard challenge then dashboard. Start back up the challenge.
Throwing in order: people, trees, menorahs. He also suggests not moving your character around during the second half of the challenge, just use your right stick to aim, grab and fire.
Hope this helps everyone else out on getting this achievement.

Just completed the Hard area glitch. Thanks for the tips about returning to the previous Church area, had to grab Menorahs and Trees from there. pain in the butt.

I posted this in the other solution too but yours was the closest to what worked for me getting around the glitch, so you get the positive vote.
After trying several different things, here is what got me past the glitch:
I did go to the dashboard.
During the first part of the hard challenge, I threw people first, then trees, and finally menorahs. I moved around and did everything else however I wanted.
During the second part (which is where the glitch always happened) I again threw people first, then trees, then menorahs. This time however I would not move, at all, once I had picked up an item. I would move the right stick to aim, but the left stick was not touched once I picked something up.
This may not work for everyone but it is what worked for me. Good luck!

For this achievement you must complete all three instances of Genki Holiday Special. I found them after the story concluded, and they are found around Virtual Steelport. It's identical to Genki's M.O.M. but you throw people, Christmas Trees and Menoras. Plus, you don't need to get Gold on all instances either, just completing them will unlock the achievement, however I got Gold easily on my first try and took my time doing it, so it's not hard to complete either way. The achievement will unlock after the final instance ends.

I have seen comments on x360a about this activity being glitchy. Some suggest throwing people last because it glitches the game and someone else had to stand still while competing it. I won't try it till tonight but thought I would warn people.

These do not need a gold, or silver. Bronze will suffice just fine. They also count towards your Genki's M.O.M. challenge if you do gold medal it them. The tactic I used was just focus on one thing at a time.

Will appear on the open world map after completing the DLS (blue square with a question mark). Three difficulty levels. It is enough for everyone to qualify for bronze.

If you come across a glitch where it is impossible to grab a Christmas tree or menorah in the second arena of the hard level, then just bring these items from the first arena. Checked personally.

Medium and hard modes can be unpleasantly glitchy - you won't be able to grab Christmas trees and candles. Moreover, it can start to fail already from the first zone. I advise you to use a minimum number of items and do not throw away extra ones. I liked the advice from my foreign colleagues (I don’t know if it helped me or just chance) to first throw only people into green circles, then Christmas trees into red and candles into blue, and try to use a minimum of objects; with this method, objects actually got stuck much less often.
If the mission fails in the middle or first zone of the difficult one, then we start it again. If the second zone is difficult, then there is a chance to pass. dragging Christmas trees and candles from the first zone, which is nearby, in one jump (the first time you can put it on a mark on the map), but sometimes there objects get stuck and then only the mission restarts.
A little patience, a few restarts and everything will work out
The advantage of these missions is that if you fail to take gold on standard IOM missions, then these also count.
