The easiest way that I found to do this was to wait until you completed all of the Speed Rift activities on at least silver so that you obtain the Water Running ability. Afterwards, head out and glide into the water first, that way you start sprinting as soon as you hit the surface. Now I paused and used a rubberband to tilt my analog stick to the side so that I would run in a large circle. Next tape down the LB and unpause the game. Now you should be sprinting in a rather large circle and you have the freedom to watch TV, get some food, etc. If your character manages to fall straight into the water after you unpause the game, just lift the tape and jump and in the middle of your jump place the tape back onto the LB.

Side Note: This is only if you didn't manage to net the achievement through normal gameplay.

250,000 meters is roughly 820,000 feet. You can check your progress by going to EXTRAS > STATS > PAGE 3. I am currently at 82% completion and have super sprinted 470,000 feet. The easiest method is what Gamer4LifeXD suggested, but to help with the progress, super sprint as often as you can during the campaign. Gliding and jumping doesn't add to the progress; you need to be sprinting on the ground.

Edit: It seems the achievement glitched on me. It unlocked at 476,000 feet while I was in the middle of I had to dashboard the game two times since it was stuck at a loading screen indefinitely. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.

First off, the achievement is for meters, but the game tabulates this in feet (at least it does in the NA version). The goal is 820,210 feet, which equals 250,000 meters.

This achievement is tabulating motion in addition to what is listed. It unlocked for me at 575,188 ft, which is 175,317 meters, and that is only 70% of 250,000. Also, I noticed that when the in-game counter popped up and told me I was at "150,000/250,000 meters," I had about 360,000 ft in my stats, which would have put me 60% of the way towards 820,210 feet, and that math does not prove out.

So is the game glitched? I don't think it is. I think it is calculating additional movement and adding that to the total. Since "distance by super jump" is its own stat, it's is possible that distance gliding is split across both stats. Something accounts for the additional 30% I received. I spent most of the early game gliding, but when I realized I was far from the goal of 250,000 meters, I started running all the time. I think the time I spent gliding counted as well.

If this pops for anyone while they are doing something besides running with LB held down, please post in the comments and I will update this solution.

I dont know if this works for anyone else but I thought id post it anyway.

It unlocked for me after I saved
As I was sprinting towards him, the normal sprint on ship, I pressed romance while still sprinting. During the dialogue th achievement unlocked. I checked my stats and saw it said about 187.000.

If this is not the case for others please comment and I shall remove this post.

This achievement is very straight-forward. All you need to do is super sprint a total distance of 250,000 miles. The best solution for this achievement is just to constantly sprint. Try to avoid jumping and gliding to your objective. Instead, super sprint and this achievement will come naturally.

My solution appears to be a glitch. I was halfway done with this achievement and I was playing one of the rift activities where you are chasing the 3 dudes. I had just finished and was at the first activity ending screen that is purple and your character is running on the left hand side. At that moment my friend sent me a party request to chat (that part is irrelevant to the solution) I left that game screen open while chatting for about 10 minutes and the achievement popped. It appears that your character running on that purple screen counts as feet or meters run for the achievement. This would probably work with any screen where your character is running so finish a mini game, leave that screen active and go eat dinner.

Not really a solution, but I had it pop up while in the 2d side scroller mission. So those brief steps to the right count towards this too.
