How to unlock the Elementary achievement in Saints Row IV - Definitive Guide

edit: m0rph3us17 found out the achievement won't pop if you have a default element selected. As long as all four powers have a new element, it will work.

Scroll through all of the elements you have for each of your four powers (elements are given through side quests). This achievement is possible after completing the side quests for Benjamin King; this will give you the lightning and freeze element for Buff. Once inside Virtual Steelport, press the d-pad in each direction several times to select each element for each power.

I found that I had to have a different element other than the default element equipped for all 4 powers at the same time (i.e. I couldn't just cycle them through one by one - while at least one power was on the default element the achievement wouldn't pop).

The only way I got this to pop was to hold down B, for the weapon select, and then cycle through the different powers.

Please include the names of the side quests that unlock each of the elements. That will improve the solution greatly.

After you complete all missions for any one of your homies, you will be rewarded a super power element. You will also unlock elements from doing other missions too, but it's mainly from the final mission of a homie. Once you have at least one other element option for each offensive power ups, simply press and go to "Powers". From here, select each of the power ups that allow you to select elements and change it from the default option and this will unlock.
