As you already experienced, the saintsrow.com site has been experiencing ongoing issues that have been adversely affecting logins, character upload and download, stability, and other features. The problems with the website started back when certain key THQ servers went offline, and has been getting progressively worse over the past few months.

We are currently working on rebuilding the site and fixing these core issues. We are also addressing many smaller concerns like the ability to change avatars, text formatting, and saving personal information to profiles.

At the moment we can't do anything (including checking existing accounts), since our admin tools are also shut down right now. Please try again in the next few days to sign in, in order to find out, if signing in from inside the game works again. (The 'My Steelport' section of the website is unavailable for everybody at the moment.)

The part of the site that makes this run is "MY STEELPORT"... which has been down for several month already, all with bad excuses. Truth is, THQ fucked this up good. But so did they with and that got fixed (dunno if it still works) ... our only hope is with the new Saints Row for XBO, that they finally get their shit together and fix this one too.

I'm not here to argue with anyone, but I think the point I'm trying to make is valid enough. Not purchasing this game with your money will provide a wake up call to Deep Silver. Choosing not to play their games anymore isn't going to limit their exposure enough where it will affect their sales. As I already stated, they already have your money and could care less if you boot up the game or not. Plus, they have other means, like advertising for instance, to help spread the word about the Saints Row games.

And, I could bore us all to death with a few analogies, but I'll spare everyone the details. I mean, do I really need to use cars or fast food as an example? Once you pay for that stuff, the dealership or restaurant could care less if you don't drive or eat their product. They already have your money.

I'm not trying to imply anything, but generally, I find it if you're cordial and not acting like an entitled five year old yields better results.

When are you stubborn thick headed and "I want it all and I want it now" kids understand that achievements ARE A BONUS. They do NOT prevent you from playing the game, they do not remove ANYTHING from the game... and funk THEY ARE NOT EVEN INTERNAL PART OF THE GAME. Yes the game triggers them, but it's Microsoft that records them in their system. From 84 million xbox owners (as of June 2014) how many actually care about achievements? Not even 500k. you really think devs give a flying fuck about us?

Here's the thing, ok? The industry is represented by huge media webs like IGN and similar, those places review the game and don't even bother with achievements. So long the industry doesn't take achievements seriously, this stuff will always happen.

Achievement are like buying a cake and getting a free candy. You didn't like that candy? Tough luck, such it up

In any case, stop the damn whining and 6y. old tantrums, stop repeating the same BS over and over and email them, post on their forums.
I really doubt it will be fixed at this point, if they haven't figured out how the THQ servers communicate with the game, they won't anytime soon. And the steel port part of the Web will disappear or be redone completely and probably uncompatible with the game. Specially taking into account that they put effort into changing how the achievement works on XBO instead of fixing the Webserver part.
And patching costs money and patching an 1+ y. old game is not profitable

It's like any IT job. Guy buys a PC and complains after 1y. his mouse (which he got for free) doesn't work. My answer would be: the pc itself works correct, right? Then suck it. Oh and btw: your guarantee expired already.

Yes we do Cruzilla, however if you go on their forums they seem to answer all questions (eventually) apart ones for My Steelport, if they do they just say they are looking at it and will announce when it's fixed
You can't post straight to their Facebook wall, I assume this is to stop annoyed people spamming about the broken website
I don't have Twitter but that may be the best avenue to contact them and get it noticed.

If I could log in to the website, can't even create a new account, I would ask them to just patch both games to pop the achievements once you save a character locally, They did it with the XB1 version
Instead of us waiting on them sorting the website, just fix the game. Even though patches are free to submit to MS I very much doubt this happening either but that's all I care about to be honest

I finally got the achievement, but it was a nightmare for me to get it. Kept on saying "Saints Row IV Servers are not available, please try again later". I tried creating an account on the game and that didn't work. I couldn't remember my password I used for when I did the Saints Row: The Third upload achievement even though I tried getting an E-Mail about a Forgotten password (goodness knows where that's gone), so I ended up going to www.saintsrow.com and creating a new account and then acquire the proof. Once I done that I re-loaded the game and the Linking Account featured worked and I got the achievement.

Note: You will need to turn on Partner Marketing in Account Settings on your XBox 360, otherwise the game will not allow you to upload.

I emailed the support line with my account info and problem, and they were able to send me a password email. It is clearly an assigned one and not one which I had made. They also mentioned to me that the reset password feature is now active and working, so you guys should just try it again, as I never received the ones I requested with that feature. And be sure to check your Junk email folder, as that is where I just got mine. If the feature does not work still, email saintaccount@deepsilver.com

Yeah, same issue for me too - the same says that I have Saints account already linked to my gamertag (I've never played Saints game before) and of course I don't know my password. Tried resetting the password from the site many times by now, including right now - still no email.

I can confirm that if you email saintaccount@deepsilver.com they can give you a temporary password. It took me awhile but it had me linked to a email I never had. I changed the email to my current one. Hope that helps

You should also mention that you need a XBL GOLD membership for this. Same as in SRIII! There are a lot of people out there playing without it.

I have also this problem with this shitty achievement i can't change my gamertag and password i write an email to deepsilver that was 4 days ago and I still have no response this is almost my last achievement i want to complete this game:(

I had the same problem, mailed support and the issue was resolved within 24 hours.

This achievement has been kicking my ass trying to recall old passwords and it not sending a new password to my e-mail. Thanks for the email address to get this fixed. FUCKING BRILLIANT!!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

If someone has a working account for those forums, can they please ask him to confirm that the fix is coming to the Australian version as well? Patches for the popular versions only are all too common.

I am willing to bet that a patch isn't needed just a working website.

There would have to be some sort of update to the game so it knows to access the new servers rather than try the old ones. No way would the new site use the same IP address.

EDIT: to my recent problems of having a domain and email problems, I changed my email address and got an update within 24 hours from contacting the above address now I have it

One email to deepsilver should get you an instant reply email to let you know that your request was recieved. Note: be sure to put Password Reset in the Subject line and to be short and to the point, politely! Because they do have to read through several requests and no one wants a living biography to read through. I sent them an email on Saturday and recieved my password reset Monday morning. Note: I live in USA, Mountain time zone.

Do I need the online pass to do this? I think not, but I want to be sure.

Yes and it is quite annoying. Some people can log some can't..annoying.

Emailed them yesterday and pretty much got the same response as Phoenix C64, however they did say:

An initial rough ETA is the end of November or possibly early December for everything to be back up and functional again

So here's hoping it's very soon (I rented the game so would like this sooner rather than later so I can send it back once I complete it)

With 'Gat out of Hell' coming out they have to get this sorted surely before then

I got an ETA of September or early October a few months back,seems like they keep pushing it back every time

This has now been flagged as discontinued which is slightly worrying

I followed up with a reply and they stated that parts of the site are under maintenance and apologised again ...

I asked for a new ETA which they didn't give .... I really can't have this as the only unobtainable on my account.

Ahh dammit, i do hope they fix this, ive sent an email to them, i got the same message as Brecon2, so im confused, im sure my password and username is right, so obviously somethings up with the passowrd, but does that meesage have anything to do with it "Connection timed out", i dont want 1190 :( lol

guys, nevermind the password message. it's quite easy: their authentication server doesn't work. and like so many other internet stuff nowadays (outlook email for example) when the program doesn't know what the problem is, it just gives a password error. your password is not the problem, it's just the connection to the server times out coz THERE IS NO SERVER and sometimes you'll get a password error and other times the timeout error. both are the same thing.

I'd wager if this doesn't get resolved by the end of January 2015, a resolution may never happen. Don't get me wrong -- I'll continue to be optimistic, but rebuilding a basic website (solely for functionality) and reacquiring those admin tools shouldn't take this long. Perhaps it's a licensing thing -- which I won't pretend to have knowledge of -- and if that's what is delaying the fix, then I can be more understanding.

Alternatively, just push out an update like Halo 4 experienced and unlock that achievement automatically. Easy. :)

I have the digital version of the game and all the DLC on my HD, but I will not start it until this is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish I hadn't kept this on my shelf for so long. Saints Row games aren't usually the type to piss around with things like this.

This is BS. I just purchased this when it was on sale like 2 weeks ago. Not gonna start it until I know it's fixed. And I won't buy another SR game until it is.

I feel like it will get fixed eventually...just who knows it could take a long ass time like Halo 4. Unacceptable, but at least a fix came and hopefully that'll be the case with this at least.

There is no luck involved in unlocking an achievement that needs a server connection to work and that server is SHUT DOWN. I reported the guy to the TA team, they'll investigate the matter and see if it's legit or not. But if the "3 strike rule" still exists and this is his first strike, nothing will be done to him anyways.

I just started this game and found out about this issue. I really hope they fix it. I have the others completed and would like the series completion. :(

Isn't this game old? I was able to complete it long ago with no issue. Websites do have issues and contacting deep silver should help but they havent fixed a challenge for Xbox 1. Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, and Saints Row IV Definitve Editons were all messed up. So doubt complaining now would help

No website but in the scheme of things achievements aren't important nor challenges but I like both. The challenges for all games list were listed before release dates making them all unobtainable

Gotcha. I unfortunately fail to see the relevance of bringing challenges up since this is about a website-based achievement and didn't come across a solution in your statements. That's all we're seeking here, I'm afraid. Either a solution or an update about this achievement would suffice and not expressed views on what's important in life.

If you have an idea on how we could come to a resolution or an update of sorts, then I'm sure all of us will be glad to hear it. Until then, it appears to be a waiting game and the only thing I can suggest is to reach out to the publisher and inquire about this achievement. As far as we all know, there are no workarounds.

I'm allow to post just as much as the next guy. So I'm not understanding the attitude and long story comments. My comments were just stating it might be worthless because they don't update anything as far as there games go.

With Gat out of Hell coming out soon, they *literally* have to bring the servers up.

Gat out of Hell might not use same infrastructure than previous games. Previous server stuff was done by THQ and this will be done by Deep Silver. So there is no guarantee they'll fix previous stuff.

Gat Out of Hell has no "upload a character" achievement that I have seen so there is no guarantee that the release of that game will mean that the website will be fixed and this service restored.

Saying that however, it is a fundamental part of saintsrow.com that is the issue. You are unable to even login to the site at all meaning the community on that side of it cannot expand. I for one hope they see that as an issue that needs to be resolved

mm, somebody unlocked it on 7 january but it still didn't work for me. Either that guy is a cheater or I am doing something wrong.

Curious .... I emailed the guy but he hasn't been on since he registered on December 2nd and I think that was through the XB1 app. I'll post back if he responds.

Looking at his page he unlocked the character upload achievement in SR3 as well as a bunch of others in both games that day. Doesn't prove anything cheating wise, they are easy games to complete quickly especially in co-op with someone who is fully leveled.
He may just be the only lucky guy that it worked for ...

For whatever reason I decided to try this again tonight. I loaded up the Character Gallery and for the first time it recognized my gamertag and account associated with the Saints Row Community(signed up when playing SR3 back in May). Tried my password and it didn't work. So I went to SaintsRow.com to reset my password(in case I had somehow forgotten), and it actually let me do it. Sent me a confirmation e-mail and everything. But it still wouldn't let me log in via the game. Kind of strange, but at least I'm seeing some improvement. At one point it wouldn't accept any kind of login or registration.

Maybe we're getting closer to a resolution on this matter. I'll remain optimistic for now.

@RumbleFish10 that's the same behaviour I encountered when I emailed them back in november. it wasn't actually after that, that it stopped working completely (which is what people have been reporting after that)

Fellow Gamers, we need to motivate Deep Silver to fix this Achievement. The best way to do this is ban everything Deep Silver. Don't buy there games, Don't play there games. Its completely unacceptable that they haven't fixed their website yet. This has been an issue since late October. All this means right now is that they don't care. In my opinion the Auto-replied Email they are sending people is just a smoke screen to quiet gamers up. Hopefully, when they feel the pressure, they'll finally make it a priority.

Well looking at the achievement list of SRIV;Re-Elected saintified is back so I highly hope that everything should be working when it releases.

...but, yeah, I have to agree with a lot of what people are saying about this and SR III eventually being fixed. I just think maybe people are being slightly optimistic about getting it sorted *before* Saints Row IV: Re-elected and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell come out. Just seems to me that Volition/Deep Silver might just be a bit more focused on getting those out the door and any website work (that isn't related to marketing these 2 new products) would be put on the back burner. I'd say at least 1-2 months after the new games come out we might start to hear more about fixing the broken achievements. Happy to be wrong though!

Since this same achievement is in the Re-Elected version of the game, they should have a fix soon hopefully. One guy already has this achievement on the One version. So clearly he hacked it. I actually got excited when I saw that. Until I went to the site and saw it was still broken. So there's no way that guy is legit.

Oh wow, they really did re-word the achievement for X1. That's kind of like putting on a band aid when the wound needs stitches. If that's the case they should just do the same for us!

Dudes, think about what Deep Silver did right before shutting the website down. They placed Saints Row 3 and Saints Row 4 and all its DLC on sale for almost the entire months of September and October. They wanted to get you to buy it right before they pulled this stunt, so then your stuck with a broken game you paid for that cant be completed.Deep Silver is a disgrace to the Video Game world. The only thing worse then a crook is a planned out crook.

Except that didn't happen.... there was a few sales with Saints Row stuff in them last year, but not during the whole months of September and October (or even at all in those months), let's not put on our tin foil hats yet and start thinking of conspiracies.

Is there a way to attempt to unlock this before getting other achievements in this game?

I had plenty of hours of fun with SR3 and SR4 (not yet finished) and one single broken achievement will certainly not "waste my time"

It should be unobtainable for every console and PC. The problem lies at the internet-site/servers of SR not at the consoles.

Mostly copy&paste from what I got from them, the part they seem to change it the ETA on a fix

I personally still hold out hope as the site itself (saintsrow.com) doesn't work and as I said before their community cannot grow as no new users can create logins etc which I hope they see as a priority.
Most of us are in the situation now of waiting, send an email every couple of weeks so they keep on top of it and hope it is sooner rather than later .... I'm an optimist though

I seem to get a more personal response if I reply to the same email thread, after the initial "copy and paste" response though.

Anyway, I imagine it depends on how one looks at this dilemma. You can be bitter or continue to be optimistic.

For me, I think it's wise that they altered the X1 achievement's description. I mean, why create an achievement if you can't achieve it right off the bat? That shows me that they care enough to make that platform's achievement to be achievable because they could have easily left it how it was by not testing out the achievement system.

The post in the forum by an actual Volition employee makes it more promising than it has before too. I understand the complications from dealing with multiple vendors. The routing system at the company I work for has a similar infrastructure and probably a bit more complex than it needs to be, so I'd like to think I can relate to what Deep Silver is dealing with.

I really hope I don't wind up having a grand total of a single unobtainable achievement on my 360. I was hoping to 100% my 360 games before I moved onto the One on a permanent basis.

Was thinking the same Brett, literally the only achievement that is holding me back .... really want think fixed sooner rather than later (but later is also fine so long as it's fixed eventually)

Got really excited when I saw someone unlocked this achievement today. Tried over a dozen times with no luck. Either that's the luckiest mofo on the planet. Or he hacked it. Not saying he did. Just saying it's suspicious. Although from looking at his card I'm not sure why he'd bother since he still has missing achievements in the game.

I'd say it's very suspicious indeed. I also noticed there's another guy who unlocked this one for SR3 a few days ago. Judging by both these gamertags they do have some completions in a single day that's completely outrageous.

I'm not sure if anyone else has, but I can confirm that Saintified on the One version is different from the Saintified on the 360. You don't need internet or the Saints Row website etc... for the one version.

They are taking THE FUCKING PISS, NOW I CAN'T COMPLETE THIS GAME AND THE WORST PART IS, NO FUCKING WARNING!

You know. The more I read the posts from gamers on this feed its just confirming that I was correct about everything I wrote. Most Gamers care about getting the game complete, and not so much the actual uploading of a character. I said it before, and you guys are listening. Don't support Deep Silver products. It's completely unacceptable that this has not been fixed yet. They don't want to spend the money to fix this, but in reality they will lose more money in the long run. They will lose confidence from gamers, and lose sales as many gamers are potentially banning Deep Silver products. Not a very successful business plan if you ask me.

The Achievement hunter community is actually pretty small to the spectrum of gamers if your knew something j wizite so your no help hate comments don't help.

Given I think this achievement might not get fixed I have gained some respect for Deep Silver because the acctually fixed the challenges in Saints Row Gat out of hell on X1. So this shows me they are attempting to do something right,

Its not the devs responsibility ?? Listen they bought the saints franchise right ?? Why ?? Because the saint games sell , they owe it to the loayl community of saints supporters especially for saints for ..give me a brake .. Also they said they are fixing the problem and plan to have all saints features up and running again ..so yes the developers do have a responsibility

I'm not going to jump into this argument, but I agree with Phoenix: can we kill this bickering and avoid the constant notifications? I'd like to stay subscribed to this so I can keep up with any potential news on a fix, but five messages a day for "this is dumb", "nuh uh!", "uh huh!" is just ridiculous.

I hate to add to this, but I'm going to anyway.

Some of you need to take off your blinders and look at the bigger picture. I used to think obliviousness and naivety knew some bounds, but I'm not so sure anymore.

We don't need conspiracy theories, boycotts, puffing out our chest and claiming we're know-it-alls... We need Deep Silver's undivided attention. We certainly don't need to teach them an unnecessary lesson where they'll become bankrupt -- I mean, how are they going to be able to fix the game if they're broke financially, am I right?

While we have made them somewhat aware, we need to continuously remind them this issue is still out there. Perhaps that might escalate our incidents because I can almost guarantee you just a few one-time emails from us isn't going to cut it anymore. We all should followup with them if we've sent out emails previously.

It wouldn't hurt to introduce other options to unlocking this achievement either. I don't care if they have to steal an idea from Halo 4's playbook to push out an update or change the achievement's requirement (like the Xbox One), but they may not be aware of these things and it might be up to us to make them aware.

At any rate, it's doubtful Deep Silver/Volition keeps tabs on this site, so all of this debate is for nothing and a colossal waste of time, to be brutally honest. Try to post in their forums instead. As one example:

As I've said since day one, I'm not looking for a pissing contest. I'm all about resolutions, so with that said: hug it out, let it go, and hit up those forums over at saintsrow.com because that's the only way we'll come close being able to have another shot at this achievement.

V_IdolNinja is definitely the best source of information on the Volition forums. The entire issue can be summarized as:

1) Volition is aware the site is broken.
2) Volition is working on it.

so...

3) we need to wait.

The rest of this back and forth is completely unproductive.

I'm still emailing the Saint's Team, about every 3 weeks or so, and being quite polite about it all. They're doing what they can as fast as they can so no point getting shirty, imo.

Well Halo 4 took forever to fix but was eventually fixed by 343i. Maybe we should just take it as a good sign that Volitron has clearly acknowledged it. At this point they should make it unlock for everyone as long as they are logged into Live whilst playing the game.

Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
I'm very much looking forward to playing this on the 360.

If Nordic Games can figure out Darksiders II, I believe Deep Silver should be capable enough to resolve the problems with Saints Row. It is essentially the same issue.

Commenting for a potential solution. Pissed I couldn't get it when I went through the first time, and over a year later it's my only game with one achievement missing.

I actually live where the Volition office is, I went to the midnight release of SRIV and met a lot of their staff. They're super cool guys and if they say they're going to fix it, my inclination is that they probably will. Bear in mind they're not a huge studio and don't have the resources a lot of big publishers do. I'm sure they're working as hard as they can with Deep Silver to resolve the issue. They expressed remorse when I asked them WTF happened with Red Faction, so I can only imagine that people who care that much about their work will follow through.

If I had no TA friends I'd feel the same way, and a 35% completion percentage... But back on topic with so many games out there and an Xbox One re-release I don't see why it's unreasonable that people wouldn't play this game until this achievement is fixed. But this is a pretty obvious troll so you'd already know this.

I just like the automatic assumption that all of our lives revolve around achievements. When I'm on an achievement tracking site or playing video games for achievements, I care about defunct servers making achievements unobtainable.

When I'm at work or school or out with friends (which is, y'know, most of the time) I couldn't give less of a shit.

There are plenty of hobbies that I don't understand in this world due to their being over seven billion human beings on this planet with over seven billion minds with unique desires and needs. It's understandable that someone wouldn't be able to comprehend all or even most of them. What I don't understand though is what purpose that is served to come into any particular forum or avenue that is dedicated to a certain train of though just to insult it. So much effort is used just to show off a person's prejudices.

@CL1333 It's sad that it come to this in people where you have to cheat to earn achievements. Boosting is a whole different story, but this is cheating. Why can't you just play the game and earn it like everybody else? Why can't you wait, it can't be that long.

As the servers are still down there is no way anyone can get this achievement.

Best way to check if the servers are back up go to saintsrow.com and see if the "My Steelport" option at the top is greyed out or not.

XlXx Kenny xXlX is definitely a cheater, he also completed Ascend:Hand of Kul on 1 April 2015 even though that MMORPG-game servers went down on November 2014.

hardcoding anything to an IP adress rather than a hostname is beyond stupid. i doubt and hope they didn't do that. and hostnames are easy to redirect once you obtained the domain.

They said that on the general forum for the PS and PC versions as well, so unless it's a universal free release (which is unprecedented, AFAIK) it's unlikely. I'm pretty sure the site will come back up, just remains to be seen whether or not they'll fix all the versions.

I keep checking this thread for any news. I'm hoping the patch comes out, but I remember hearing once that it cost devs tens of thousands of dollars to patch a game (for some reason the figure $20,000 comes to mind). I'm worried that the patch is ready to go but the higher ups in the company see spending that kind of money as a bad business decision. Hopefully I'm wrong.

So sounds like they potentially have it fixed (assuming it passes testing) but are stuck waiting on things outside of their control.

I'm just curious as to how this achievement has completely "broken" this game according to some of you. I mean, the gameplay, story, music and co-op mode must be completely ruined and/or removed. When you load the game up all you will get is a black screen and a voice whispering the gentle words of "get bent" repeatedly.

I just got it as well. It didn't work perfectly. I had to create a new account on their website, and then link it to my xbox. But once it did that, I got the achievement.

I couldn't create an account on my Xbox, so I went to the saintrows.com site and created one, then linked it to my Xbox (literally 30 seconds after creating the account I linked it), went to the nearest clothes store and got it straight away.

I got around to this about a month and a half ago. I remember having the same thing happen to me on the website. Ultimately, I think I had to go into my game, find an Image as Designed store, and link my account through there. I'm fairly sure I had already created the account on the website. It's been long enough that I don't remember exactly, but I know I had the same problem and was able to resolve it in game.

I just finally got this!! Make sure you create your account with your phone or a computer. Then go to image as designed and connect to your account from there. Sometimes it still wants to act like it doesn't want to work but just keep trying, you will eventually connect to the servers.

Created new account on my computer. Went to Image in game, logged in, uploaded. Pop!

It just worked for me after 2 weeks of receiving server unavailable messages. It now said a few times that the connection to the server timed out, but then it let me log on using my old account details.

Is this achievement possible in the XBox One backwards compatibility version? I've created an account on saintsrow.com but it doesn't ask for a linking Xbox account. Selecting Community on the main screen advises "The profile does not have permission to access member Content. Please check your Family Settings". My Xbox One settings are all open, as were my 360 ones before it. Accessing Xbox 360 settings through Xbox One doesn't provide anything relevant.

Creating the account through the website and then logging into that account in the game (Backward compatible played) worked. Uploaded normally. Creating an account in the in game menu did not work, at all.

On a similar vein as above. For those like me trying to nab this at the last minute. I initially attempted this back at the start of the year but couldn't connect to servers in game. Tried for a few days and gave up. Servers just didn't seem to be responding at all
Making a second attempt via saintsrow.com via my phone kept returning an error of website taking too long to respond... So in desperation and logical process I broke out the laptop with the intention of adjusting my website connection time out, time to see if it would help.
Then I stumbled across my mistake.. for anyone experiencing server time out errors here is my experience.
I'm in the UK and my isp is sky broadband. As part of my package they bundle in something called sky broadband shield which attempts to block any open, known phishing, gambling, dating and hook up sites or generally 21+ kinda content. Which unsurprisingly included saints row. A quick dip into the sky settings allowed me to add saints row.com to accepted websites and boom.
I offer this at the eleventh hour just in case it wasn't just me that got caught out by it.
Now if I could just get it to let me log in with the password I created....

If it was still working after the shutdown date, I may consider attempting to get the other version of the game.

This should be marked as partly discontinued as it only seems to work if you have an account since before. If you haven't ever created an account, you can't create a new one, neither through the game or the website.

Annoying you can't get this achievement anymore. I wish companies had to change achievement unlock requirements before making them completely unobtainable.

Either they are new members to the website, so TA scans in older unlocks, or the usual, cheating their Gamerscore.

Does anybody know if this achievement is legitimately obtainable on the PS3? By the looks of it, there are quite a few people that unlocked it recently. I wonder if they cheated because it has the same description and why would the achievement be affected only on the 360?

Emailed support, nothing then after a couple of hours I got an email to change password. Did that still can't log in. Sent another email asking them wipe my gamertag from the servers so I could start again, over a week now and have heard nothing.

I emailed Deep Silver twice with no response. I waited 4 days before investigating alternative methods. From what I have found its to do with THQ going under yadda yadda yadda. For me (and some of the rest of us) we have Saints Row the Third characters and accounts. Remember though this is with THQ. I found on xbox360achievements a guy had the simpliest, easiest solution to this. Delete. THQ. Account. I deleted the THQ account which freed up my gamertag to be linked to a different account with saintsrow.com and I could assign a new account/password to it. Loaded up game. Went to clothing store. Character gallery. asked me to create new I.D or link existing one. Hope this may help others who are being snubbed by Deep Silver

I truly think the achievement will be fully obtainable again. Deep Silver is aware and I'm sure their attention and energy is focused on their X1 release.

As I said before, if no updates or resolutions are in sight by next February, then things will start to look bleak.

And, I'm not trying to have a pissing contest with anyone, but choosing to not start this game isn't going to show them anything. They already have your money and could probably care less if you start it or not.

Anyway, I would suggest emailing them and inquiring about this achievement. You'll probably still get the same copy and paste response as everyone else, but the more emails they get about this, the more visibility the issue gets from their end.

I can see where you're trying to get at, but the age of the game isn't relevant nor does when one completed this game help in the matter. As you know, the website is the culprit here and in theory, should be resolved later this month.

In my opinion, I think achievements are far more important than challenges in most people's views and an entirely different issue than this one. Surely, there doesn't need to be a poll for that.

Plus, I'm not aware of any issues on the games you listed. Are they tied to a website as well? Are there any discontinued achievements? I briefly looked over those games and their different platforms and nothing stood out, so I'm not sure where you're getting at there. I did notice a few achievements flagged as buggy, but that's not even remotely close to what we're discussing here.

Additionally, as far as I can tell, Deep Silver doesn't even publish those games you listed (minus Saints Row), so you'll have to forgive me if I don't see the relevance of that argument.

The achievement is still glitched/locked. They need to fix this. I only need this and the challenge competitionist achievement and I've completed the game.

If they know the name of the sever that holds the data they can resolve the new IP address to that server name.
It depends if the game is hard coded with the IP address

I'm sure Volition is attentive enough to fix SR4 and Saints Row: The Third and all of their corresponding versions. The problem won't be whether or not they fix the website. The problem will lie in whether or not it fixes OUR problem. Remember, achievement hunters are a minority in the gaming community. Our interests (achievements) are abysmally small compared to the interests of the everyday gamer. Now you're probably saying, "But Debrimba, fixing the website WILL fix our problem." Well... all we can do now it continue waiting.

Besides, "about to pay off soon" probably just means Gat Outta Hell will be the next free GwG.

The lack of updates is simply because we are waiting for outside companies to get their parts done. A lot of this is out of our control, and we've already been burned once when we gave an ETA which came and went without things getting fixed. Be assured that the website is an extremely high priority for both Volition and Deep Silver.

If anyone is having trouble getting it, go to saintsrow.com and register. After you've created an account, go to the main menu and log in to your account in the community section. After you've linked your account, go into your game and go to a Image As Designed Plastic surgery shop and click on the character gallery option and it will allow you to upload your character giving you the achievement. This achievement is available again as I've just got it on XBox One BC. Exactly as described in Marx's solution

I keep getting this warning that says "This profile does not have permission to access Member Content. Please check your Family Settings." But it's unrestricted and I have no idea what to do. :( What the hell does this even mean?

Edit: I figured out the problem. It says to check your "family settings". But you'll actually want to check your PRIVACY settings. If you check your privacy settings, it MUST be set to Adult, and not custom or any other setting. Mine were set to custom. As soon as I set it to Adult, it was fine.

To anybody that's trying to get this achievement (or "Jumped In" in Saints Row: The Third) before January 31st 2018, but is having trouble with the community account creation, one thing that might work for you is to make sure your username has only letters and numbers in it (i.e. no underscores, hyphens, etc.).

I made a few attempts to create an account with an underscore in the username and I kept getting "Server is offline, please try again later" error messages, but the first time I tried a username with only letters and numbers it processed no problem. This may have just been a coincidence, but it's worth a shot if you're having trouble.

Also, I'm not sure if it's required, but I'd recommend using the e-mail associated with your Xbox Live gamertag for the e-mail field just in case.

gamerfrlife has recently unlocked that achievement in may 23, 2018. I just saw his progress in Saints Row IV on the 360 version.
