A cycle is when you hit a single, double, triple, and home-run in the same game with the same player. If you don't manage to get this naturally by playing through story mode, I would recommend playing a pick-up game against a second controller. All you have to do is hit or bunt with whatever player you choose and allow them to run around the bases instead of throwing them out. Just make sure you get one of each. An inside the park home-run where the ball still stays in play counts just like a home-run that goes over the fence.

Just a quick note. The achievement pops immediately after the hit that gives the player the cycle. You don't have to play a completed game.
