I attempted this at least 10 times with different variables tonight before finally getting the achievement (my final to get 1000/1000), so I feel the need to clarify somewhat on the details.

I believe what the achievement description is trying to say by "Change pitchers before the final inning and win the game" is that you not only need to swap your pitcher out, but you also need to be in the lead before the final inning. I swapped pitchers several times, and then in the final inning made the winning score... with no luck.

So if you are really stuck on this, here are my exact details on how I got it;

5 inning game
2 controllers
P1 (main account) home team (all-stars)
P2 (guest) away team (doesn't matter)

Basically do innings 1-3 as a no-hitter. Strike out 3 batters, and then grab the other controller and do it again. And again. You get the idea.

In the top of the 4th, pitch to P2 and have P2 bunt. Then have P2 run around for a home run (0-1). Then swap out P1 pitchers (Assign Positions in the pause menu). It doesn't really matter who, just make sure your pitcher is a different character. Strike out the rest of the P2 team still in the top of the 4th.

Bottom of the 4th, you are up (P1), so score twice (2-1) to take the lead. Now use the P2 team to strike everyone else out on P1 team to close out the inning with you (P1) in the lead.

Top of the 5th will start, once again, strike everyone out on P2's team. There will be no need for you to get an at bat (no bottom of the 5th), so as soon as you strike out 3 in the top of the 5th, game over. Achievement unlocked.

I did this in a three inning game. What I did was be the home team, then in the bottom of the second when I was batting I took a lead. While I was still up to bat, I pressed start and went to assign positions. I then changed my pitchers. i finished the second inning, then I went and finished the third inning. This will complete the game, and when the game finished the achievement unlocked.

I also did use two controllers.

Confirmed the solution of the previous 2 guides.

The achievement requires that you be in the lead, switch pitchers before the final inning and maintain the lead.

Using 2 controllers:
1. Extras -- 3-inning game

In the first inning:
2. Bunt ball and go around all bases -- Score 1
3. Switch pitchers (Click A on pitcher and then click any other person on the field, they will switch)

Then:
4. Strike-outs for the rest of the game.

The fastest way to get this achievement is to set up a pick up game with two controllers.

Set up:
Set the innings to 3 innings
Main profile getting the achievement choose either the All-Star or Bullies
2nd controller, don't matter what team you choose
Have your main profile be the home team

Now start up a pick up game, strike out all batters for the top of the inning, bottom of the inning (your profile) have your team score two points then once you've scored two points have your second controller strike out the remainder of your batters. Now on the top of the 2nd inning strike out the 1st batter than press start and select the assign position tab to switch spots with any other players. Then once you have switch pitchers just strike out the remainders batters. For top and bottom of the third inning just strike out all three batters for both main profile and second controller. Once you have struck out the final batter with your main profile the achievement will unlock 10G Savin' the Day!. Hope this helps and happy hunting fellow gamers.
