Release Melissa from her Trap.

How to unlock the Absent Parent achievement in Saw - Definitive Guide

Melissa's trap is fairly easy.

All you have to do is get the magnetic block on the twister square trying not to go over too many crosses. The square can move horizontal en vertical and keeps moving the direction you choose till it can't go any further. This doesn't count for the twister square, if it passes this square it's automatically solved. Even though she screams bloody murder to hurry, there is no time limit so take it easy.

Keep trying and only use the following if absolutely necessary:

puzzle 1: RDLDR
Puzzle 2: LURDLU
Puzzle 3: RDLURDL*

* Could be possible on other regions it's: LURDRDLUL

Just a head's up ... what you have for puzzle three is not right ... it is RDLURDL. Everything else was right, just not that part. Don't know if it is different for everyone, but I have been following a great video-guide, but thought I would also check it the solutions here at TA, as well. The video-guide has it the same way I found it to be in game, too.

You'll need to complete several smaller puzzles by sliding a cube around a type of maze. Watch the video for more help.

Credit goes to SMacReBorn for the video.

For this puzzle, the object is to get the piece you move to hit the swirled tile on the board. You can hit up to 5 of the X's on each individual board without killing Melissa, but if you hit a sixth, it's game over. There is no time limit (despite her pleas for you to hurry), so take your time and plan out your moves. You'll want to work backward by starting at the swirl and finding a direct line to an obstacle, then make moves one by one until you hit the piece you control. Reverse the order and make those moves to complete each section.
