How to unlock the Never Truly Free achievement in Saw - Definitive Guide
Once you reach the final portion of the game Jigsaw will give you two options, you can either carry on your pursuit for the truth by unlocking the "Truth" door or you can seek your freedom and an end from this by going through the "Freedom" door, there's an achievement for going through each but luckily there's a small exploit which allows you to get both achievements without having to play through the game twice.
After Jigsaw has given you the option between your freedom and finding out the truth, now it's important that you choose the freedom door first, unlock the freedom door and the achievement will unlock, now hit start and select to "Reload Checkpoint". Now you'll be back at the part where you have to decided between your freedom and finding out the truth, unlock the truth door and let the ending play out and once the credits have finished the achievement will unlock!
You have to unlock the doors in that order, if you unlock the "Truth" door first you won't be able to take advantage of this exploit!

Also you don't necessarily need to do them in that order... instead of hitting continue you can just load the checkpoint right before choosing to open one of the doors. I think it was checkpoint 7-12.

Thanks for the guide but you might want to edit it slightly. I just got the ach but as soon as the ach popped up for freedom i paused and reloaded checkpoint. This basically cuts out the need to watch the credits.

"Never Truly Free" achievement. Pick the Freedom door at the end of the game. *NOTE* you can reload the game for the "Cost of Truth" achievement, just pick the other door.

At the end of the game, you'll be given the choice of two doors. Choose the Freedom Door, and finish the game.
Note: If you already picked the other door, reload checkpoint 7-13 and pick this door to get both endings in one playthrough.
Once you finish the last gauntlet of puzzles and minions and return to the two doors that will end the game, choose this door first. There will be a short cutscene and the game will end.
