IF you want 1000 in this game, then it is advisable to start your career with the Simulation setting at Medium or higher, otherwise you will find the Auto-brake will impeed your progress on some test requirements.

If you are not worried about the full 1000 G then playing on Low Sim is OK.

There are 4 types of Test available, you can tell if you have test as there will be a red box advising you on the session load screen and also a "Y" button prompt underneath the X on the Right had side of the screen when you are in the garage.

An easy way to check is to select the Session option and if you see an ! next to a session then there is a test you can take, you can skip to that session if you like.

Press the Y to double check the requirements and complete the objective.

You should get an option to test / upgrade by the 4th race, sometimes it's the first race.
