This achievement is easier to do if you have a boosting partner as you can make custom settings in order to rack up the miles faster.
Quickest way would be to make long races (Say 15 laps) on a track like Monza, Phillip Island or Brno because they have higher average speeds and you can cover miles faster.

definitely recommend Monza for knocking this one out - each 15 lap race = 86km and takes more or less 30 mins. Total 4.5 hours work.
