How to unlock the Collection Freak achievement in SCARLET NEXUS - Definitive Guide
Satori the Archivist (Guy in yellow who acts as your manual save point and merchant) has a section within his shop that allows you to trade Enemy and Environment materials for either Battle Items (Consumables), Weapon upgrades, Visual items or Presents to your other team members. You need to perform 100 different transactions to get this to unlock.
Using a mixture of weapon upgrades, cosmetic purchases and gift purchases you will be able to unlock this with ease sometime before you wrap up your first playthrough. Just make sure you explore locations for the Environment Materials and are constantly using brain crushes and the likes to take down enemies. Enemies and Environment Materials respawn after you leave an area so if you ever need to farm a specific resource just fast travel to another area and then fast travel back. The enemy list on the pause menu also details the type of resources dropped by an enemy as well as their location if you can't remember where a specific type of enemy spawns.
Some final notes:
1.) For the optimizers out there: this achievement is best earned while going for the gift all allies achievements (Totaling 67 items)
2.)You cannot get all gifts in one playthrough for spoiler related reasons so you'll need a min of 2 playthroughs for Gift Giving Freak.
3.)You can buy a total of 35 visual items with your currency to bring down the amount of times you need to exchange material for Fashionista.
4.)You could save right before exchanging for 100 items and then reload the save to avoid spending the resources if your dying to unlock this early on.

Yeah I got it naturally just focusing on giving all the gifts. Seems like something not to worry about unless you don't plan on getting the 100% on this game, so upvote anyways for the added info.

You will likely obtain this naturally if you are going for the platinum since presents largely require exchanges in order to obtain them. When you access shops, you can press or to tab between Buying, Selling, Exchanging, and Accepting. When you go to exchange, you'll see that you can obtain items by exchanging supplies and items that you find as you explore areas. Most of the presents you will need to give can only be acquired through exchanges so that alone will probably earn you this trophy. You can also make sure to exchange items to upgrade your weapon and your allies' weapons too. After performing 100 exchanges, you will earn this trophy.
