The special follow up attacks are done by holding LT on the on an object showing this particular button prompt. You will then be met with more button prompts specific to the object (ie: Vending machine = LS and RS being pushed inwards, Oil canisters = Hold LS upwards). You must succeed on the prompts to count towards the achievement. The first time I recall where you get to try this is in the Mid Level Shopping District in Kikuchiba, in the ball court area on an upper level, one of the first on-mission areas in the game.
