Simply destroy 100 MS/MA units with Aerial combos to unlock.
To do an aerial combo, hold the Y button to knock an enemy into the air, then jump and attack with either X or Y button multiple times to combo an attack. The enemy must die from the aerial combo in the air to count.
An example of a good combo to use is hold Y to knock enemy into the air, jump, then press X-X-Y-then hold Y. But there are several different combos you can do, that vary depending on the gundam you are using. Aerial attacks/combos do extra damage. So it’s good to use beyond just going for this achievement.

What I found is that the Burning Gundam has a attack were if you hold Y you charge towards a enemy sending them into the air. Still working on unlocking the achievement but the Burning Gundam should make it much easier.

I can confirm that using Burning Gundam is the best MS to use. I got this after finishing the story. Played 7B Their Place on hard 3-4 times getting 25-35 aerial combo kills each time. Just hold B, knock the enemy into the air and then jump and mash the X button.
