The only way I was able to do this was to pick the guy that starts out with the cultists. at the 2 pads at the beginning of the level choose cultists and shamans, blast his shield and go follow him out.
O n the next 2 levels, run to him as fast as you can. this will cause all of the enemies to disappear, then choose cultists at all of the spawn pads (unless you have no shamans left, if not grab another group of them). on the 2nd one there will be an altar to transform the cultists, use that as many times as you can, as these monsters are way stronger than any others. hopefully you will get the big ghost, as that smashes him in no time. With this team all i did was get up in his face and destroy him (although you may want to hide behind a pillar for the laser beam.) After 100 tries every other way, it almost seemed like cheating. lol
