EDIT: The achievement has now been fixed and is currently unlocking!
This achievement is for playing 20 missions at night.
It seems quite random as to whether or not you will get a night cycle, but here's what I did:
Load up an expedition (free roam, any difficulty)
Choose any character and ready up
Choose Laita Plains as your insertion point and deploy in
Get into a drop pod and drop down
Check to see if there is any light or not and quit out
Repeat until the achievement unlocks
If it was night, you'll get 5% added towards the completion of this achievement. Note it is completely random though and for me it took over 50 attempts before I got to the 20 missions needed

@GallopingTag978 I just hopped out of the pod and ran around for a couple of seconds before quitting out first to be sure, but yeah just quitting should work.

Can you quit and it‘ll count towards the achievement or do you have to exfil?
The counter goes up immediately, no need for exfil.

The recent season update must have broke something. There's no statistical chance that I've deployed 70 times now, with zero night missions showing up

I exchanged a few messages with them. They asked me what I felt caused the issue and how to fix it and whatnot. This was maybe like a week and a half ago. The last thing they sent me was thanks for notifying them and since our email exchange that multiple people had reported the same issue. They said they didn’t have any sort of idea when the issue would be fixed but they are looking into it. It’s a little sketchy to me because there is a “known bug” section on the games website and it hasn’t even been updated since we all have messaged them. Think the last update was a month ago. Oh well.

Well I dont know if this seems shady or not, but on their website they posted a next patch update with known issues and issues that are going to be fixed. Despite all of us messaging them, they didn’t seem to care enough to even list it as a known bug at all. Feels crappy to me.

I wrote into support about this as well. The night missions will be coming back. Right now the event going on is the Longest Days Preseason theme. Emphasis being on days ... Night missions should come back after the end of this current Pre-Season.

So SnipedByAGir1 is right, night time missions will not be restored until the new seasonal update comes out in September. I just got an email back from my reported bug. We cannot do anything until then.

Apparently, the new Pre-Season's release date is TBD. If that's the case, October 1st is just a placeholder date.
