The golden egg can be found on a cliff in Lata Plains. The easiest way to do this is to load an Expedition in this area.

Keep in mind that the golden egg will not spawn every time, and is a random chance.

There is no insertion point in Lata Plains as of October 2022. You have to run all the way from the north or south of the map to get there.

There are more locations for the golden egg…..and I think we need to find them. I don’t think it is a 1 in 10 chance or random. I think it is 1 in 10 spots more like it! I found one in the north western region of TINIES HARBOUR and you get there through the western side of ALTUM VALLEY (You will see the 2 cliffs on the map between TINIES HARBOUR and VULTUS BAY). You’ll go through a tunnel that will lead you to the cliff you need to be on….once out of the tunnel you see 5 trees but only 4 are on the cliff you are on…..goto the 4th tree(the furthest one) and there is one there on the right of the tree in front of the little bushes. If it spawns here that is

. Actually if you deploy in the ALTUM VALLEY you pretty much be right beside the cave opening that leads you to the cliff. 100% easier and I think you have a 2 out of 3 chance getting it easier.

I spent hours in looking for this egg and can't find anywhere on the map. I've checked both location Lata Plains and Tenis Harbor a lot of times, nothing 😵

I don't know if this solution is outdated or just wrong... As some comments before me stated you need to use Ortega because her dash ability seems to be the only way up the mountain. Video also says the easiest way is in Expedition, I did that 4 times with no egg, so tried doing it in Missions and it was there first time.

10 times for me... Ortega with boost ability helps, as there are no more ledges to climb onto.

I changed the difficulty to Insane and it appeared the first time. Unsure if that actually improves the odds but it's worth a try since you don't need to fight to get to it.

FYI, there are some good resources you get from the egg but you only keep them if you complete the mission.

I shot the egg, got the loot but the egg didn’t disappear and no achievement. Shooting the egg does nothing now and I was on coop on hard.

Edit: Did it again on coop insane and it popped for both of us.

Took me 7 attempts and I was spawning in the lower right region which is a very quick 1.5 minute straight walk to the egg destination. 2 other players in the lobby got the achievement without being near the egg also.

I got a loading screen tooltip about golden eggs when this finally showed up for me, so that may be an indicator that the egg will show up.

However, I think they have changed the peak where the egg is. You can't climb it any more. You must have the character with the dash ability, just like odiedodie mentioned above.

Aim for the snowy parts, run as far as you can then jump towards the snow parts. It can be done with any character. Run and jump twice and you'll reach the top.

As of 28/09/2021 (earlier actually but this is when I noticed it), there are no climbing rocks so this updates the previous solutions. Thanks for posting :-) Edit: This is difficult to do; I got up with Rosy mixing sprinting and jumping and took 2 mins on my first attempt. I'm hoping I get quicker as egg wasn't there when I first tried...
