Reach level 50 in ranked matches

How to unlock the Like a Boss achievement in Section 8: Prejudice - Definitive Guide

Since the game is now pretty much dead, there are two reasonable ways to reach level 50.

1) Boost with friends via sessions here on TA.
2) Play Swarm by yourself.

Since you have to be four (or is it 3?) human players in a match to gain XP for method 1, you can't just have one buddy help you out. For method 2, you can play by yourself but it's going to take longer and probably be pretty boring.

1) If you've got your badges and DCMs out of the way, the best way to grind XP is to have 2 people on each team (or however many you can find), and have both teams set up AA turrets that the other team spawns into over and over. Can be turbo'd, should obviously be played without bots so they don't show up and destroy the AA's. Will yield 250-500 XP for every regular-length match. (Thanks to MightyLordSeth, coma1138 and ThePunisher0601 for stumbling over this method in a session we had.)

2) You can start up a ranked online game of Swarm and gain XP that way. Unlike the other ranked modes, you can gain XP by yourself here. It's probably a good idea to do this before you succeed at the Exterminator achievement, and to get the DLC for some variation in maps to kill bots on. As far as I know, there's no bonus XP for playing on higher difficulties so medium is fine. Trivial is not allowed in ranked Swarm.

You should also add that you need 14,500xp to get to level 50.

Completing DCMs, Feats, and Badges are very useful in getting quick exp, as well as offenses, defenses, denials and fatality kills as you get more exp than normal kills, and attacking in groups keeps you alive longer than going solo, reducing your total spawn time and frequency.

So this isn't so much a solution as it is a gathering of pro-tips, am I right?

If you could mention the total amount of XP, that would be great too!

(It's 14,500 XP)

@CourseOfAction how many hours does that work out to be approximately... if you get XP at an avg rate?

I've got this achievement now and according to the stats I've played 17.5 hours of ranked games. After around the 10 hour mark I've been focusing on the

and now I've only one more badge to go. I'd recommend to boost this one though. It's very annoying.

Obviously this is your typical rank grind achievement:
It takes approximately 14,000 exp total to reach level 50, however I can confirm that it is possible to earn exp in Ranked Swarm mode at the expense of larger amounts of exp gained from Conquest. It is recommended that you grind Swarm mode for the lower levels where the exp-per-level rate is lower (and gaining other achievements in the meantime).

It is also worth mentioning that you need 4 people in a Ranked Swarm match to earn exp; less than 4 and Ranked status is not counted.

Achievement has been discontinued due to a server shutdown. No one has won this since 2013. There is nothing anyone can do. Sorry.

While this was obtainable, You gained the same amount of XP for killing bots as you did for players. Therefore, the best way to level up was to run around fighting only the bots.

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

Simply reach level 50 online in ranked matches to get this trophy. You can gain xp from swarm, assault, skirmish, or conquest. I have seen two ways to get good amounts of xp on your way to level 50; the first is legitimately playing swarm for loads of xp. The problem with that is if you’re not experienced with swarm or are on a team with randoms that don’t know how to work as a team; you may not get past the 10 minute mark. The second way is boosting with other players using the fatality method. To do a fatality online, have the knife equipped and shoot away an enemy’s shield and a little of their life away, then when prompted to hold R2 for the fatality do so. You get 12 xp per kill, which is the most amount of xp you can get at one time without use of vehicles, and before you know it your level will start increasing multiple times in a single round.
