How to unlock the Top Brass achievement in Section 8 - Definitive Guide

Ragnarok's guide is great, but here are a few things that help out even more:

Coordinate. have it to where one person on each team is doing the mortaring. Stand close to your supply depots, as them healing you, gives more points.

Have one person on each team take over a base so you are getting points for that.

The other two people WILL be kicked from the match if they are not the host and do not attack, kill, or die after 5 minutes. So they should be at the enemy base shooting turrets/arrays and everything at the enemies base. It gives you points and keeps you in the match.

Do not complete the objectives. They give you points, but it's better to make the match as long as possible, so both teams are getting close to the same XP.

Each person should plant a Micro Sensor within 100 meters of the enemies base. Make sure not to die or change your load out, if you do either of this you stop getting points for the Micro Sensor. It will continue to give you points through the whole thing.

I did it with 3 other people, all of us had the dlc. This is good for two things. One is less randoms, a whole lot less. Right now there seems to be around 20 solid players that are on during the day, but most don't do the dlc, so you'll have a much easier time boosting. Two is that you can put down 5 Supply Depots, not just 3. This may work without the dlc, but I didn't notice it until I had bought the dlc.

Put down heavy armor, tanks, and anti-air turrets. When they get mortared and healed, you get points. Drop them when you have enough money and drive them next to the supply depots, so they will be hurt and healed. So the more stuff you have around the supply depots, the better.

The previously stated method is for both teams to rank up as evenly as possible. But there will be someone that is lower than the rest, most likely. Or you may have three friends that have the game and are nice enough to help you out. Either way here is my method for a very nice and fast way for ONE team to level up.

The team(or person) that needs the xp, needs to take over a base and have the opposite team do the same, so you can put down a Micro Sensor at their base.

You need to get enough money for anti-air turrets now, which is $80. Your team mate should do the same. Once you have enough money for the turrets, pick a place to set them down at. Set 2 of yours down side by side, and your partner do the same.

Now have one person from the enemy team take off all his passive modules, so it's easy to kill him. Have this person drop where the turrets that you deployed are at. (Don't do it in your base, bc I don't think turret kills from your base counts the same) He should die within 2-3 seconds of trying to drop in the area where there are 4 aa turrets.

That will give you 5 points a kills and if both you and your teammates turrets hit the guy dropping, it will give your teammate assist kills. Which will give you both badges, meaning more XP. You'll get another badge for killing so many ppl with a turret as well. This all is just an added bonus to the fact that you don't have to wait as long for the person to drop or get enough money for you to kill a tank or whatever. The points will be coming like crazy.

Now for the other person on the enemy team. They should be mortaring your supply points that you need to make. The winning team(the person getting all the xp) should have enough money to drop 5 supply depots. If you don't go kill the enemy turrets, until you have enough. Now you and your teammate should have 10 supply depots down, with the enemy mortaring it. If you put the supply depot close to the aa turrets, then make sure to have the enemy drop a supply depot first, so his ammo regenerates.

Since you don't have to really kill anyone (your aa turrets are doing it for you) and you don't have to mortar the other teams supply point (unless they still need/want xp) then you can either heal your supply points or go and kill enemy turrets/arrays.

With this method, you will end the match pretty fast, but on average the main person got about 1,000 XP each match with the second having around 400-600 XP. Both were sometimes a lot more, but the top person getting the aa kills never had under 800XP.

Again this is only for one team, really designed for one person as we had 2 people that were ten levels under us. Hope this helps. ;)

This is sort of a long explanation for this achievement, but if you follow it and bear with me, you'll get tons of exp towards 50 =)

First off here's the character layout you need in order for this to run smooth.

Primary weapon: Assault Rifle (To attack random kids who join your game if they disturb you)
Secondary weapon: Rocket Launcher (To attack Vehicles for extra points)
1st Equipment: Mortar (To launch at enemy Supply Depots)
2nd Equipment: Repair Tool (To Repair your Supply Depots/Yourself)
Modules: Max out Repair, Shields, and put the rest in Lock On Recharge

Here's how it works:
First get 3 other people (4 total including yourself) together so you can start a ranked match. without 4 or more, the exp won't count towards rank/achievements. Once your have 4 people, have everyone customize their loadout as described above.
Next, Start a Match on Utah Crash Site. Being one of the bigger maps, it will be easier to hide from kids who try and play legit and mess the boosting up. Start the game and have everyone meet in the bottom left corner of the map. Drop as far ,directly west, as you can from Control Point 4. There's a downed ship there that provides excellent cover for what you will be doing.
Once everyone meets there have everyone begin killing each other until everyone has 20$. Once you do that, have both teams drop two supply depots (one supply depot a player) next to each other's Depot so they are close enough to heal one another. The other team does the same, likewise. Then have each team begin firing mortars at the other teams supply depots. But be careful, 3, sometimes 2, mortars can kill the supply depots. Launching one at a time will work. Notice the Depots repair each other and give you 1 exp per repair. keep doing this until you all have enough to max out on supply depots. (3 per player, 6 per team, 12 total) and make sure to put them next to the original ones.
After everyone has their supply depots, maxed you'll really start seeing exp fly your way. Have each team fire a mortar at the other teams SD's (hopefully you get the abbreviation by now) then have each team turn to their own and use the repair tool for extra points. Rinse and repeat.
Once you start netting some large amounts of money/exp have people buy tanks and heavy's so that each team can use their rocket launchers and destroy them while still using the supply depot method.

Overall I boosted for about an hour with this method and went from a 33 to a 42 in no time. Much better than playing this terrible game legit.

If you're confused, have ?'s, think of ways to improve this, just send me a message on xbl, or just PM me. Good luck!

You'll need 14,500 XP to hit level 50 and should unlock when you get the correct amount of XP, not at the end of the match. If at anytime you loose your rank, just play a few games and rank up to level 5. From there, you should get all of your rank back one after another.

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

After getting all badges, feats and other trophies that can be done ranked, you will want to boost to get to level 50. The best way that my team (Half_Sober, Zaibas, and leemm… special thanks to all of you for developing this system with me) figured out how to boost was to start on a large four CP map on a dedicated server, on medium difficulty with no bots. We would all burn in at an agreed area away from the CPs and simply kill each other until we had enough money for a bunch of supply depots (9 total for your team) and one rocket turret to shoot the other team’s supply depots. It’s important to put the supply depots as close as possible together so all of them can heal the damage from the rockets. At that point you just heal manually a supply depot as well. Do this without capturing any of the CP’s. What this does is keeps giving you xp very, very quickly without gaining points that lead to the match ending. Doing this we were able to go from level 40 to level 50 in about 2 hours time. You may consider putting some AA turrets up around the area so you can’t get too surprised when a random player attempts to sabotage your set-up.

If you follow my Road Map properly this should be your last trophy before the platinum, so congratulations on a very easy and fast 100%!
