Shining Force is an open world RPG game, but don't worry you have to play too much to unlock this one. 'Chapter 1: Runefaust Invasion' is where this achievement will be unlocked but it's a little way in. Below I've written out a quick detailed guide on how to get to Alterone without wasting time.

• At the start of the game, just go through the motions until you Lowe goes away and you have full control. Now leave the church and head to the far right of the town to find the pub. Inside talk to Gort and nod to everything (this isn't necessary but it's good to have an extra player later on).
• Once he's done talking, leave the pub and head north to the side of the castle. Head into the main castle entrance and speak to the King. Once you've accepted your quest, head back into town and as you enter your team will automatically join you. From here, head back to the castle and speak once again to the King.
• Once he lets you go, head back into town and just to be safe, go to the shop and buy some medical herbs. Once done, leave the Guardiana via the south exit.
• You'll now take part in your first fight. The game takes on a turn-based style, so just make your way up to the enemies while staying in a tight formation and win the fight. This shouldn't be too hard as long as you use your characters correctly and purchased some medical herbs. Remember to use the rewind if you make the wrong move.
• Once the battle is won. Exit back out into the open world for another fight. Again, follow the same strategy and win. After the find, head back into Guardiana.
• Before head back up to the castle, go speak to Gort in the pub and he'll join your party, then over to the church to talk to the Priest to revive any fallen party members at a cost of 10 gold and finally stock up on medical herbs for each party member as you have one last fight. Now go to the castle to continue the story.
• Once all the action is over, leave Guardiana via the south exit. You'll now have one final fight before you can reach Alterone. Once all the enemies have fallen, simply head north to Alterone and the achievement will unlock.
