If you don't fancy playing the game properly, there is a "chance" based method that I read about somewhere on the net that works a charm. I was pulling out my hair trying to actually play this game until I read this alternate method.
Use the Continue code to play Robotnik on Hard mode (Has Bean, Clear, Purple, Has Bean).
1) Hold right on the pad to create 3 full columns to the right.
2) Hold left on the pad to create 2 full columns to the left.
3) Let the middle column fill up by itself.
If some combos clear the columns to the right/left, fill them up as soon as you can, then go back to letting the middle column fill up.
Don't worry if some "bad beans" (transparent) fall in - it's unavoidable.
Repeat the above steps over and over, even if you keep failing. Eventually you *will* get it. After about 20 attempts, I popped this achievement.

I was seriously struggling with this achievement, so I tried this "chance" method. Worked a treat! Got it after about 5-10 attempts. Thanks for the tip :)

Great little cheat. I put the code in for easy lvl 13 and it only took me 11 goes and around 15 min.

If you have problems with this achievement, I recommend playing through the game instead rushing into Robotnik by a code. If you don´t learn how to play or do a decent combo, you won´t be able to beat him. Second thing I recommend is going to options and set the game on Easy.
If you aren´t familiar with Puyo Puyo, this game consists on doing the best combo you can. Better combo, more punish to the enemy. You can go and win some CPU battles by doing just one or two combos, but you should go for higher ones. In this particular game, a 4-5 combo is instant death. If you throw something like that and survive until the bad beans fall into your enemies dungeon, you´ll win.
You can win all the battles on this game by just learning an easy 4-5 combo, and repeat it on any stage. If you fail, you can repeat it as much as you want, you have even a save feature now. The easiest one to think and to make for me is the one on the first fight of the video (it isn´t mine, but I usually do that combo). Do it once and the achievement will be yours.

In the menus go to Scenario and Continue and enter the following beans yellow, orange (has bean), blue, blue and you will start on Easy on the final level. Then you will need to keep trying until you finally beat him. Concentrate on trying to get a 3x or 4x combo and then some 2x combos.
You will need some luck. It took me 2.5hrs solid until I finally defeated him.

omg did it first time, nearly failed and then loads of combos just happened, awesome technique XD

Wow. I put in this code and played for about a minute. I only managed to clear off 4 beans (total) and then I won. Not quite sure what happened to the good dr, he must've suicided?
Anyway I tried again but failed to replicate the quick win.

If you need to also see the blocks on the screen to try and judge your next move because when you hit the pause button they all disappear you can try the following.
If you hit the back button to bring up game menu itself it will show up all the menu options but with a black background, not easy to see the blocks yet. If you go down to save it will bring up the save menu to save your game state but this will be opaque and allow you to see the blocks in the background thus giving you time to place your next move when you quit the menu. I would suggest to save your game at each block drop. Took me about 15mins to place all the blocks correctly this way to get a 5x combo and kill the boss.

This is how I got the achievement, ended up getting a 3x combo quite early on and nailed the achievement on my first try. I made a save right after the 3x combo too incase of any mishaps.
Just follow the advice, go to the save/load screen after each block placed and plan out your game accordingly.

Well my strategy was different. Every time i did a combo and my blocks were low at my area i was saving the game. So if i loose i can load again right from the point i did the combo. Repeating this evry time you do a good combo and you will win eggman at no time

If you get this order of beans which will happen at some stage pause and look at this video and follow it precisely. If you do you will bay 50g it can be a total nightmare to get and takes along time but just watch this video closely it helped me by watching the techniques this person used to win.
If you still find the game hard strat from the beginning rather than rushing this achievement and starting at the last level which is where most people make the mistake

Try to remember as many bean combinations as possible, dosen't have to be many I did it with less than 10.
Remember to stay calm, getting mad and aggresive is only going to mess you up even further.
Sadly I can't really offer you any other tips, just stay calm and persistent and learn from your mistakes and eventually you'll get it, it took me at least 40 tries before I managed to get this achievement.

Here is a code for the last level on the game on Easy mode.
Yellow bean, Orange bean (looks like the guy in the trophy pic), Blue bean, Blue bean.
This trophy is very luck based because you have to fill Robotnik's screen with beans such that he loses. You only fill his screen by matching more than 4 beans at a time.
Matching only 4 beans all the time will not make any progress in this game, unless you cause a combo. The best ways to send beans to Robotnik is either by concentrating on comboing 2 lots of 4 (or more) beans at the same time.
Or focus on setting it up such that you match 4 then the resulting beans which fall cause another match 4 and so forth, resulting in x3 or even x4 combos which will really screw with Robotnik!
Basicly the more you clear in a single piece falling on your side, the more you will send to Robotnik's side. But be careful because he can do the same to you, hence the challenge.
Now with the clear beans, you can only clear those by clearing coloured beans which are touching the clear bean. You should avoid letting these clear beans accumulate as clearing them will not contribute anything towards what gets sent to Robotnik, only coloured beans count.
The clear beans are basicly what Robotnik has sent you so if you have a lot on your screen suddenly then he has just pulled a HUGE combo and most likely you will lose but don't worry there are no lives in this game and you can retry as many times as you like.
Even Robotnik has bad games, one will come eventually. This is considered one of the tough trophies in this game and I wish you best of luck with it.

Once you pick Scenario mode, hit continue. Then put in the code: Yellow, Has Bean, Blue, Blue. Has Bean is the character in the achievement picture. The easiest way to beat Robotnik is to save after every piece (press the Back button, and pick save) that way if you mess up you can reload your last save. I'd suggest using all 3 save slots in succession that way you can go back even further if you see something better you could have done. This is the hardest achievement in the game, good luck!
The trick to beating him is using a cascade which will throw the black beans on his side of the screen. To do this, you need to clear a section and cause the pieces on top of it to fall and make another connection. In other words, if you make a connection of red pieces that have a purple piece on top, and that purple piece falls and makes a connection with other purple pieces, this will case a cascade on his side. Don't get discouraged if you get cascaded on, because making connections will eat away the black beans and possibly cause you to get extra cascades. Just try to stay calm as the game moves fast!
