In this video guide I will show you how to Defeat the Divine Dragon. Now this takes place in the Fountainhead Palace. Shortly after defeating the mini lightning boos on top of the tree you will eventually get to the Palace Grounds idol. From here go inside the building and head out the right door. Then you will grapple up some trees and follow some stairs and past some enemies. Just go past them and head inside a little cave with a corpse to interact with. You will then be transferred into another area to fight the boss.
The boss has two phases. The first one consists of little mini dragons that are very weak. You will need to kill a bunch of these to knock down the main health bar. Their attacks consist of puking poison and occasionally tree roots will come up from the ground so just run around for a bit. Then you will get another mini dragon type to kill. They will do some damage to you as well but as long as you keep killing them most of them wont even hurt you.
Some things to use during the fight would be any form of shuriken and I also used the whirlwind slash.
Now for the Divine Dragon. He has very slow attacks and can be easily dodged. He will do three downward strikes with his sword so just dodge left or right when he does. Now by this time you should see trees in front of you. Just grapple to the one you see with lightning. They will be randomized every time. Once you get to the tree you will have lightning and be in the air, just hit RB to throw it back at the dragon. After this he will probably do his gust of wind and knock you back. Then he will use a different attack occasionally. Which is he will slash in the air causing a projectile to come at you.He will usually do this twice, just jump over them. Then repeat with the follow up with lightning. Now once he is almost dead the trees will disappear and you will need to dodge his plethora of attacks.They will basically be the first two attack described earlier, the only difference is he will do them back to back. All you need to do is run from the overhead strikes and jump over the projectiles. Once he is done you will see a small whirlwind near him, now is your time to go look for the lightning tree. Your window is pretty small so be fast. The dragon should only take two more hits at the most. If you miss your opportunity to use lightning, just use your shuriken and hurt him some more so it will only be one more hit with lightning. Once the final hit comes you will be very high in the air just make sure you look down and lock on before using the lightning. Once he is dead go walk up to his sword, climb on it, and grab the tears from his eyes to pop the achievement.
