This achievement, as of 4/18/2024, is FIXED!
You can do this in co-op by yourself, and you should, as it only unlocks for the host. It is easily done by going to Multiplayer and in Custom options, set the enemy multiplier to x2, you DO NOT have to alter the enemy strength percentages. You can put on unlimited ammo, and give yourself unlimited respawns, as well as temporary invulnerability. Having unlimited ammo and gadgets mean you'll eventually complete this just ramming through it.
Some tips:
-If you're impatient like me, you can spam the Serious Time and Serious Rage gadgets and run past enemy spawns, and then spam things like the Companion Drone, Black Hole, and Nuke on parts where you are forced to kill enemies. As the game is only 5 missions long, this makes the game about 90 minutes. This does slow down your game and could possibly cause a crash, so be warned. Swap your game to PERFORMANCE mode to decrease the chances of crashes, as this game doesn't run very well on console (even on Series X).
-Has to be done in one go. If you disconnect or crash, it must be redone.
-Recommended as a second playthrough so you know where the better gadgets and weapons are, and you can endlessly use these with unlimited ammo!
-Mission 4 has an issue at the end train section where if you kill enemies too quickly it'll just have you sit there with no more enemies to kill. THIS IS NORMAL. I had this happen on both the console and PC version, and sitting there for a few minutes will eventually force the game to continue (you'll hear dialogue and be able to board the train).

This achievement, as of right now, is unobtainable. This is due to the option of multiplying enemies not currently being present in the console version of the game. I’ve contacted the developers if this will be added or the achievement requirement will be changed, as I suspect this feature was not included for performance reasons.

I messaged them on the 20th for an update and just checked them after I read your comment, so that’s my bad on not getting the update out quicker. But they did respond and it seems this is going to stay unobtainable for a while. I updated the solution with their message. Hopefully they eventually fix it.

Would a change to the requirement be easier than adding the Multiplier? Seems odd it's not present on the Xbox version.
I suppose as an alternative, they could amend the requirement to finish it in Co op with the enemy Strength set to a certain %.

No problem! I love the Serious Sam series so I'm pretty invested, plus I hate seeing such a great game likely skipped by many because of the unobtainable. The dev I've been talking to is honestly a nice guy and seems like he wants it fixed but their publisher is really giving them shit for Talos. I have faith it'll get fixed eventually.

I'm actually not sure. Second Encounter's coop achievement needed to be done from the beginning so that's what I did for the PC version. If you want to confirm if it just needs to be the last mission, go for it. I'd appreciate it actually. 
Other than that, if you do have to do the whole thing, it's quite easy with unlimited respawns and ammo.

I'm using seriesS. I restarted the game 4 times before I unlocked the achievement. I was really annoyed when I crashed at the final boss, but I managed to get through it.

Oof. Sorry to hear that but glad you got it. It crashed on me once doing the snow map on Series X and I was sweating doing the second to last level.

turn off dismemberment and blood. This will also reduce the risk of crashing. Too much meat on the screen also stresses the system

I did not have to do it in one go. I got to the last level and the gate did not unlock after the massive waves of enemies. I returned to the menu then just replayed the last level, and the achievement unlocked.
From what I could see in the co-op menu, the game saves your highscore after every level. Judging by that I assume you can do it one level at a time.

Yes. Just wanted to confirm the developer messaged me earlier today and said the update was out on Playstation and they were going to get back to me if it was on Xbox. As DD3FAULT has stated, it is also out now for us as well. They only added the x2 multiplier, but this is enough to finally unlock this achievement.

With the unlimited instant respawn setting you don't really need the gadgets but I still picked up the black hole because it takes ages to kill the enemies on the last level. If you set the respawn invincibility to 10 secs (heavily advised as you may end up in situations where dozens of enemies bite you right after respawning) You can run through most of the non arena parts of the levels. Don't forget You have to destroy all the towers except the second one to be able to progress.
Oh, another thing: I did run into a bug a few times on my first playthrough where enemies spawned out of bounds and softlocked my progress. This also happened to me once on my Co-Op run. Thankfully there is a failsafe implemented in the game. If there is no fighting for around 10 minutes, the game finishes the battle. So don't quit if you run into the same situation.

im still baffled at the high ratio for this. its literally the most brainless run on the game. i did the PC version today for this one and it took me under 2 hours, even fell half asleep at some point lol
