How to unlock the My Head A-splode achievement in Shadow Complex - Definitive Guide

Shoot an enemy in the head. Aside from random headshots, if you want to take the time, use the R stick to aim at the head of a soldier and fire. 1 shot, 1 kill. When you get a successful headshot, a comic book style white blotch of exclamation will appear above the soldier's head for a split second.

Note that with the Inertial Element, the final gun, it is harder to get headshots than the others.

Is there a counter somewhere for the headshots? I've done one playthrough and have gotten about 90% of the second play's map revealed and still no headshot achievement. Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? I've started jumping over the guys and trying to aim down for the headshots, but still no dice.

Once you get the hook, you can attach to the wall/ceiling above the enemies. It'll give you more time to aim the headshot, as well as making them a lot easier to hit.

This glitched for me, I got two headshots when I was at 49 and now I have 272 headshots, still no achievement. Any tips?

There are points where there is a single enemy directly after a save point you can easily just sneak up on them head shot them, save, exit to the main menu and load your save file. Rinse repeat it is easy just takes a bit of time :-)

Is there any way to reset your headshot stats, because I'm at 272 and still no achievement.

Just keep shooting! Aim with the R stick for the head, eventually you will get 50 headshots if your aim is good enough! It's almost impossible to not get this achievement on a playthrough as you can randomly get the headshots without much effort.

uh oh.... not sure what to do about that... might need to reset your save data?

Just aim for the head and repeat this 50 times. To aim a headshot use the and aim the laser towards the enemies head, headshots are always 1 shot kills. This will probably come naturally without trying but if you want to get it out the way, just pay attention to where you are aiming.
