Whilst this is technically missable; it is very easy to get this without any additional information. In order to get a "Gore Tool" you must use a "Finisher" + on a special enemy. There are 8 in total, each having their own specific achievement tied to "Finishing" them. The first time you encounter a new special it will play a mini cutscene, but all specials will appear multiple times giving you several opportunities to kill them this way.
