How to unlock the High in Las Vegas achievement in Shadows of the Damned - Definitive Guide
I Suggest that u do this on lemon hunter because the red gem cost is 45 white gems on lemon hunter, 75 on demon hunter and 120 on legion hunter
There are total 80 red gems that you need to collect in Shadows of the Damned to unlock High in Las Vegas achievement or trophy. 40 of these red gems are hidden throughout the Underworld and remaining 40 can be bought from the Christopher’s shop.
You can buy these gems using the white gems that you would collect throughout the game. Also, you need to collect them all in a single playthrough since there is no chapter select option available in the game. So, you would need to do a second run if you missed any of these hidden red gems.
u can actually buy all the red gems from Christopher he has unlimited supply of red gems and u can farm crystals in certain spots in the campaign . (see Snowseph Guide For Farming locations)The total on Lemon hunter is 3600, on Demon hunter is 6000, and on Legion Hunter is 9600 white gems to buy all eighty red gems.

Chapter 2-1
Video by ME
Solution find by Mr Jim PL
Enjoy
2 Gems for 4 mins
too short too short too short too short too short too short
That about sum it up? xD
Following these videos I was able to collect enough one the ones in the wild to unlock the achievement at 5-1.
One thing I had missed was that 2-3 has two parts, separated by a load screen with Garcia walking on the map. When I saw that I immediately went to dashboard and restarted the chapter...*facepalm*
The video helped a lot.
Thank you!
Since Christopher has a (seemingly) unlimited supply of red gems, you can actually get this while skipping many of the red gems hidden throughout the game. The trick is to use a few key moments with infinitely spawning enemies to farm white gems, and to be sure to play on easy, as red gems from Christopher cost only 45 white gems (as opposed to 75 on normal and 120 on hard).
There's a few parts where you can farm white gems from infinite baddies:
-either of the two giant-head mini-bosses early on (the ones shrouded in darkness with the 3 rotating red weak points)
-in chapter 3-2, after the second bridge collapses and you have to chase Paula around the lake, demons will spawn indefinitely here (this is probably the best place to farm, as the enemies spawn pretty quickly)
-during the boss fight with the final Reaper sister in the library; whenever the world turns to darkness, she'll spawn 3 weak demons, which you can kill after lighting the goat's head
If there are any more infinite-spawn points, feel free to add them.
And it should be noted that the white gem counter maxes out at 999, so there's no point in trying to farm past that. 999 white gems on easy = 22 red gems from Christopher.
This trick is also useful for maxing out Garcia's abilities early on, so if you're having trouble on whatever difficulty, this might make it a bit easier for you.
MAC.
(if you give neg vote i would like to know why please.)
First, I never saw the demon by the ladder....EVER. I do not believe that he has ANYTHING to do with this glitch working or not working as it's not a true glitch but a save exploit.
The KEY to making sure this works right to to ALTERNATE the save points properly.
After you enter this area (2-1), go to the far wall (it's directly in front of you) half way there, Your guy will say "here we go again" inside the enclave (below the goat head and to the left) is the red gem. After the cutscene, light the goat head and kill the four demons.
Now you can do some small farming of the white gems or dispatch them quickly if you want. after the 4th one dies it shows you the gate to go through. Go through it and stop at the end of the wall. willie will drop and the save icon will appear. Hit start, exit the game. Go to continue, select the save file, and continue again.
After the games loads, turn around and go to the gate that you entered to this area. Your guy will say, again, "here we go again", it will go to the same cut scene which is what pops you back on the other side of the gate.
NOW, after you grab the gem, light the goat, and kill the 4 demons this is where you want to switch the save point! If you look at the gate to which you came through ORIGINALLY to get into this area you will see white Z's floating in the air. Go to this gate (behind the tree in the courtyard) and willie will drop to your left to create another save! quit back to main menu and repeat 80 times.
THIS is where the confusion comes in. You must rotate back and forth between the two save points for this exploit to work! The easiest way to tell if which of the two saves to use is to look for the white Z's. If you see them, use that point! It is easy to confuse yourself and if you use the "next" gate when the Z's are there, you will mess it up and have to start all over again.
This is worded improperly you don't need to collect all red gems you need to collect all red gem upgrades. There are 80 upgrades in all and it will require you to farm in order to get this achievement. You can find Aruwal's guide Here to help in getting the other 39 gems available, he lists 38 but I always ended up getting 39. 8-9 may prove difficult as sometimes one of the demons can't be destroyed by the chandelier in the 3rd part of the tower ride.
For farming white gems:
There are 2 good spots to farm white gems where you can get to 999 rather quickly and efficiently and 1 more not so great spot but a good early start.
firstly in chapter 2-1 just after red gem #4 and during #5 getting the strawberry you will be instructed to light shot a goat head to stop demons from spawning, if you don't shoot the head they will crawl over the fence allowing you to just continually shoot off legs and stomp enemies for white gems.
The second spot is at 3-2 Red gem #15 you will follow the story into the lake and will be forced to chase an object in the water, if you forego this and move left from the initial broken bridge towards gem #15 you can farm demons continuously. I found it best to Light shot stun them and perform finishers by hitting which will also allow you to get the Trash 'em while they're out achievement with strong likelihood, as long as you don't continue to the right of the bridge they will continue to spawn.
The third spot would be at 4-3 red gem #22. Right after you cross the bookshelf you will fight a few ground crawlers and then be ambushed by an armored form of the shadow portal monsters you fought in the swamps. Whenever they attack if you just backup or evade roll they will miss and then Jump quickly backwards, if you hit them with the light shot stun WHILE they are jumping backwards you will knock them down. Immediately continue over to them and start stomping them using the as long as you continue to stomp them they will produce white gems allowing you to cap at 999 again. Rarely it won't let you collect gems whilst stomping just stop stomping and knock him down again and it should work. Video can be seen Here in xxthegodofwarx's post

999 White Gems (aka 22 Red Gems)

"Performance Enhancers", as Johnson likes to call them are what is used to upgrade Garcia's and your weapon's performances. Red Gems can be found throughout the course of the game, as well as purchased off from Christopher once you meet him.
Note that the trophy description is a bit misleading. Finding all of the Red Gems scattered throughout the game will not unlock it. In order to unlock it, you need to upgrade everything through the use of 80 Red Gems.
You will need a total of 80 Red Gems in order to upgrade everything. However, only a total of 36 Gems can be found scattered across the chapters, so you'll need to get the rest by buying them off of Christopher. Note that Christopher will have an infinite supply of Red Gems for you to purchase, so don't worry if you missed a few.
For a list of locations of the Red Gems scattered across the chapters, refer to the Red Gems Location Guide.
If you farming White Gems ain't your thing, and would prefer to just get this trophy over with, not to mention break the game (the game's easy enough as it already is!), you can perform this glitch:

White Gem Farming Locations:
For each of the following locations, you can choose to earn as many White Gems as you can or keep going until you hit 999 (max amount you can carry at one time). Kill your enemies by shooting their legs off followed by a stomp attack to earn the most amount of Gems possible on each defeated enemy. There will be at least one ammo box for you to use to replenish your ammo.
Note that should you die during farming, any Gems you obtained will be gone and will have to be earned again since nothing will be saved until you reached the next checkpoint.
Act 2-3
Shortly after meeting Christopher, you'll come across a graveyard in which you'll be introduced to your first three-headed demon. Enemies will constantly spawn from the darkness until you destroy the three red cores around it.
Act 3-2
Same location as suggested for Nasty Headache.
Act 4-3
You'll run into a one of a kind armored demon. Light Shot it until he falls down, then repeatedly mash to perform a stomp attack on it over and again for an infinite amount of White Gems, until you cap at 999 that is.
Please see "Stingy Bastard" for details.
There are several places in the game where you can gain more “demon currency” to buy the coveted red stones from Christopher. The most convenient places:
- in the cemetery, where Garcia finds the preparation of his grave. Enemies respawn constantly in the dark. All we need to do is knock out the darkness from them and kill them to knock out the little white crystals;
- in the swamps, when Garcia falls into the water, and you have to run after Hollow through the water (there is still 1 red crystal there). Here demons constantly respawn in the water...
And there is one more nuance: you won’t be able to collect more than 999 white crystals at once!
Personally, I collected 999 white crystals in these two places, spent everything from Christopher to buy red ones, while simultaneously collecting all the hidden red crystals. And only in chapter 4-2 I received an achievement.
You don’t have to worry about the cartridges; on the side of the entrance to the cemetery, between the tombstones, there are cartridges from a pistol, and on the opposite side in the tomb there are cartridges from a machine gun. They are restored periodically.
(Pss you need to knock out 3600 crystals, this is if on easy and 6000 crystals if on medium, I didn’t get through it on hard)
First, (as already described above) you start playing on the easy difficulty level, because it is on it that red diamonds cost only 45 white ones, while at other difficulty levels the price for them increases significantly.
Of course, the endless respawn of enemies at some levels is good, but the process of collecting white diamonds in this way is very long and tedious.
I will advise you to leave this achievement last, along with the passage on an easy difficulty level (after opening all the other achievements, so that these become the last).
This means that you have already completed the game 2+ times, and (if you were attentive) you already know where everything is.
As the story progresses, collect red and white diamonds hidden in the levels, don’t buy booze (at all, I personally have more than 30 found bottles lying around), buy ALL white diamonds found and red ones from the merchant.
Don’t torment yourself for a long time and persistently with the respawn of enemies on the level with a flooded village (swamps), knock out 100-200 diamonds from the enemies and run on.
Remember, to increase the number of diamonds “mined” from an enemy, shoot off his legs, and then finish him off with the button .
Each blow to a prone enemy knocks out one diamond, while with a normal kill you only get 2-4 diamonds, although you can get 5-9 from prone ones.
Now, there is a very good place located in chapter 4-3, i.e. in the library, which will help you get 999 diamonds without much difficulty.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaM0...eature=related
You need to get to the place until you encounter a demon who attacks from the “darkness”.
The beauty is that the demon is wearing armor, which we should (but will not) knock down with a mine.
Your task is to watch for the moment when the demon starts his attack in a jump and knock him down with a light shot , after which, quickly run to him and begin (within 5 minutes) to “knock out” the treasured diamonds from him.
This glitch works only because the demon has armor that cannot be broken with a regular kick, and since the mechanics of the game say that 1 kick = 1 diamond, then we (without a twinge of conscience) weigh out 999 assholes.
So, to get this achievement and, as a result, all 80 red diamonds are needed.
1:> Memorize and find the location of the regular (hidden) red and white diamonds.
2:> Buy red diamonds from a merchant every time you have the required amount.
3:> Get 100-200 diamonds in the swamp level.
4:> And knock out 999 white diamonds in the level with the armored demon.
5:> Next, you will have 8-10 empty upgrade slots, which you will quickly fill before the final chapter.
