How to unlock the Investi-gator achievement in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Definitive Guide
I personally waited for the Harpy Transformation.
Once you have that transformation you'll be able to skip just about the entire section. You gain this ability after the 5th Boss.
The Techno Grunts are the little bipedal gator grunts that waddle around the factory floor. I'd suggest waiting this until you have the Harpy Dance as it helps with part one and two. For the first part, there are two grunts to worry about, so you can either sneak by them normally or just flap your way over them. The second and third parts are where it can get tricky. With the Harpy Dance, you could easily just flap your way from the lower left all the way to the top right by zig-zagging through the factory floorplans. The third part is the trickiest though, as you will not be able to bypass the two grunts that patrol. Wait for the first to get far off the screen, then follow behind and quickly fall into the first hole. Let them pass over you heading left and then quickly run to the right where the Snake Charmer can be found. There won't be any other grunts left, but you won't get this trophy until you slide down the chute.
This trophy is referring to the second area of Mermaid Falls (the factory). Techno Grunts are the gators that wear a hardhat, goggles, and suspenders. There are several of them in the level and each of them patrols a small area. They have bad eyesight and will only attack if they see you, which is indicated by an exclamation mark over their head. In order to get this trophy, you must sneak all the way through the factory without being detected by a single Techno Grunt. This is technically doable without any transformations, but it is not recommended. Instead, wait until you have the Harpy transformation and simply fly through the factory. This will allow you to avoid most of the Techno Grunts (see video below for a good route to take; credit to the video creator).
