How to unlock the SPF 250 achievement in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Definitive Guide

If you don't get this achievement naturally playing through the game (or if you want to get it as soon as possible) you can easily get this in the very first level. As soon as you get control of Shantae walk to the right until you pick up your first bottle of sunscreen and then just stand in that spot. It will keep respawning and you'll automatically pick it up each time. It respawns about every 5 seconds so it'll take a bit of time to get to 250, but the only effort it will require is making sure your controller doesn't turn off while you're waiting.

You can also do this by fighting the final boss (Risky Boots) repeatedly. Once you've beaten the game, go to the stage select and go to "Stage 6 Boss". Then enter the fight and wail on her as she drops lots of sunscreen.

About halfway through the fight (as Risky gets on the anvil and tries to crush you), go back to the stage select and select the "Stage 6 Boss" again. It will allow you to save the game and repeat the fight without having to scroll the credits or dying (idk if you lose progress if you die?).

After playing through the main game I was able to get the achievement within 5-10 minutes with this method.

Beach mode requires you to collect sunscreen about every 20 seconds or you will take damage. Sunscreen is scattered all over the place. If you do not get this trophy naturally, find a nice cozy hole that's out of the way of taking damage where Sunscreen spawns. Now just camp there. A sunscreen will automatically spawn every 5 seconds, providing you put Shantae on top of it, the sunscreen will spawn faster than your dial will run out, so you can just put your controller down a while and this trophy will earn itself. You can get 12 sunscreens a minute and should take about 21 minutes to get all 250, if you need to.
