This is an efficient way to complete an Any% run of the game, getting all the Genie Crystals with minimal backtracking. It's also a good start to getting the four win screens (you can go back afterwards to complete the game 100%).

Background info

1. Main Street

Intermission: Hypno Baron's Castle, stage 1

2. Cape Crustacean

3. Tassel Town

4. Mermaid Falls

5. Hypno Baron's Castle

Load section 2 of the level:
1. The first chest is halfway through the second screen, in plain sight under a purple platform. The switch to unlock it is below and to the right. Save it for later.
Stand just to the right of the switch, about a character width away from the edge, and shoot it with the Spread shot (three orange balls). Then you can jump back up and open the chest for a Genie Crystal (11/15).

2. The second chest is at the end of the third screen, just before the exit. Jump back onto the higher ground to your left, then hold right trigger and make a running jump to reach it. You may need to make two jumps to first hit the chest, then grab the Dark Crystal. Save it for later.

3. For the boss, use your regular pistol against the red squid (jump with the hat when he's in the air). In the second round, use your regular pistol against the squid again. When he's dead, use the Seeker missiles to soften up the magician, then finish him off with the pistol as well.

You now have the Cannon, which lets you double-jump with

. It also breaks large blocks underneath you. This is the last of the abilities.

Load section 1 of the level:
4. Run right through the first door.
5. Run left past the two fake chests. Climb the chains and continue left. Climb up again, then head right (glide or grapple to cross the gap). At the end, blow up the large block with your Bomb Shot. Drop down, ignore the fake chest, and go through the door. Open the chest for a Dark Crystal: save it for later.
6. Return to where you blew up the large block. Climb up the chains to reach the rooftop. Head to the far left and grapple up for a Genie Crystal (12/15).
7. Run to the far right of the rooftop and use your hat to jump up for a chest with a Dark Crystal. Upgrade the Cannon to max, so it shoots four times.
8. Return to where you blew up the large block. Run left and through the door.
9. Climb the chains in front of you. Immediately to your right, jump towards the hole in the ceiling and grapple. Open the chest here for a Dark Crystal.
10. Drop down and continue right. Before entering the door, jump up using the Cannon for the final chest in this area.

You now have all the upgrades you need to complete the game. Spend the rest of the Dark Crystals however you like. I recommend ignoring the Grapple and Kraken Ball, as they're useless against the bosses, and upgrading everything else.

Press Start and exit the level with the Pirate's Flare.

6. Main Street revisited

The achievement pops here.

9. Shoot the eye switch here and jump right across the platforms for the final chest in this section. Press Start and use the barrel (Pirate's Flare) to return to the map.

Save your game, quit out, and copy your entire save file.

Now you can use one of your files to complete the game Any% for two win screens, and the other to complete it 100% for the other two.

This is a comprehensive list of all the Dark Magic and Genie Crystals in this DLC. It's organized by area but you will need to go back to previous areas once you obtain abilities from later levels.

Main Street: (Hat)

First area
-First pond, need swimming and bomb, go in pipe and destroy block (Dark Magic)
-Second pond, need swimming, pipe (Dark Magic)
-Third pond, need swimming (maybe upgraded) and down cannon, (Dark Magic)
-Fourth pond, need swimming and down cannon, Genie Crystal
-Last screen in first area, need grapple, (Dark Magic)

Second area
-At cabin, need grapple, Genie Crystal
-In second area, Dark magic to the left of cabin, need fully upgraded hat and down cannon (Dark Magic)
-Top of screen, after two pots need down cannon to break blocks, Genie Crystal
-Top of screen after two pots, go across purple platforms, (Dark Magic)
-Going down before chef restaurant, shoot eye for platform (Dark Magic)

Mermaid Falls: (Grapple)

First area
-Second pond, go all the way down, use bomb to break block (Dark Magic)
-Second pond, go all the way down and to right, use bomb break block and go in pipe (Dark Magic)
-Second pond, right side all the way up, Genie Crystal
-In middle of level, break block then go up and drop down into the ledge, (Dark Magic)
-Top right, need upgraded cannon/hat to get to, (Dark Magic)

Second area
-In third pond, need down cannon to break block (Dark Magic)
-All the way to the right of bottom, need swimming and hat upgraded (Dark Magic)
-In pond before a blue guy at bottom, behind some grass to the left, Genie Crystal
-Use grapple to go all the way up top left side (Dark Magic)
-Once at top of all circle movers, need cannon upgraded to get to chest (Dark magic)
-At top, where the pot for buying dance moves used to be, need grapple for Genie Crystal

Tassel Town: (Kraken ball to swim underwater)

First area
-First pond, at bottom chest only need swimming (Dark Magic)
-Second pond, swim and bomb to left (Dark Magic)
-Right next to big wall that is moved down, need upgraded cannon (Dark Magic)
-Right after big wall, chest above pond, Genie Crystal
-Up top after a scorpion lady, chest (Dark Magic)

Second area
-Destroy statue where you would have to slide, chest (Dark Magic)
-3/4 way up worm tunnel, destroy statue on right with bomb, chest (Dark Magic)
-Near top, just need to slide and see chest on right side (Dark Magic)
-On right side, with 3 status on left side, use grapple to go up, Genie Crystal
-At very top, use hat and grapple (Dark Magic)

Third area
-Under level, need grapple, Genie Crystal
-Another under level, use down cannon to break block (Dark magic)

Cape Crustacean: (Bomb shot)
Second area
-First hatch requires down cannon (Dark Magic)
-Second hatch, requires hat, Genie Crystal
-Third hatch requires grapple to get to height to hit eye, (Dark Magic)

Genie Crystals are another collectible scattered throughout the game. You need to collect all of them in order to earn the trophy and achieve 100% completion.

You will need all 15 of the Genie Crystals to be able to finish the DLC. So if you’re focusing on beating the game quickly, make sure to beat the stages as fast as possible and collect each of Risky Boot’s new weapons before revisiting stages to collect collectibles.
