This achievement is for killing enemies with Bolo's (the boy on the left of the three characters) grappling attack. This is not to be confused with his regular attack which seemingly uses the grappling hook... i.e. This is NOT for using the 
attack. Rather this is for using the 
"attack". The "grappling attack" can only go in three directions; 
, 
, and 
. It deals a measly 2 damage.
Since you can only hit enemies that are essentially above you, it's best to either kill the Purple Bats (low HP) throughout

Even better is to do all 20 in the AMMO BARON Boss Fight in World 4-3. The Ammo Baron spawns a litany of enemies as "shields" and they're mostly be above you. Walk under them and mash + . You should easily be able to get all 20 in the boss fight.

Bolo can use a his grappling hook with 
to grapple onto rings but it can also be used to attack enemies. The rub is the attack aims at a 45 degree angle upwards so you will need to find enemies above Bolo you can attack, such as the bats in Hypno Baron's castle. Find and defeat 20 of them and you will be get the trophy in no time.
