How to unlock the Mining for Minerals achievement in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Definitive Guide

- In the "Main Street" stage, talk to the girl chef on top of the roof at the start of the 2. area.
- She will ask you to get back her permit.
- To obtain the permit you will have to defeat 30 Tinkerbats in her restaurant (go down the path where there are 3 windows - Tinkerbats will spawn endlessly here),
- Bring her the permit and she will give you the salty caramel
- When you are back in Scuttle Town give the candy to the little girl in Skys place.
- She will give you bird seed
- Give the bird seed to the strange guy in the item shop
- His bird will "give" you the copper ore in return

I would only like to point out, that you have to finish the second stage (Mermaids) in order to have the girl in Skys place appear. If you start from scratch, you gonna need about an hour to reach this.

Story-related and cannot be missed.

You can only do this after clearing Main Street for the first time. To obtain the Copper Ore:

  1. Head to the second area of Main Street and use the Monkey transformation to talk to the girl in the upper left. She will ask you to defeat 30 Tinkerbats in her restaurant.
  2. Go the restaurant (head to the right, go down the stairs, and look for the room with three large windows). You will know you are in the right place because a counter will appear.
  3. Defeat 30 Tinkerbats to obtain the Health Permit.
  4. Return to the girl to obtain the Salted Caramel.
  5. Head to Sky’s Hatchery in Scuttle Town. Give the woman in here the Salted Caramel in exchange for Bird Seed.
  6. Go to the Item Shop and give the man in here the Bird Seed in exchange for the Copper Ore.
