How to unlock the Race to the Top achievement in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Definitive Guide
This is earned in the Tassel Town level, in the second part of the level where you climb the tower. This does NOT have to be done on your first visit, when the worm is chasing you. The next time you come back to the level, the worm will be gone, and you can climb at your own pace to find items and learn the layout, make sure to take note of dead end paths, seems you mostly stick to the left side.
Once you feel you know the layout, warp dance out or just leave the level and return. As soon as you enter the tower, transform into monkey form. This form runs a bit faster, jumps higher, and can climb walls, which is mandatory to make the climb anyway. Just rush to the top as quick as you can. You can climb walls really quickly by holding in the direction of the wall and jumping repeatedly. The same goes for chains, but instead hold up. Don't worry too much about taking damage from enemies or saws, and if you wait to do this on your second visit, the worm and fireball shooters will all be gone. At a couple spots you will have to transform back to normal to break or push blocks, just switch back to monkey immediately after.
The "record time" feels sort of misleading, as I made quite a few mistakes (taking the wrong path, getting stuck on a wall) and still got the achievement. As long as you don't fall way back down, it should be fine. The achievement will pop after you run out the exit at the top.

Doing this on another visit after the first one is MUCH better. Using the Harpy dance really speeds it up too. Thumbs up :)

This is a stage-specific trophy and requires you to go through: Tassel Town, Stage 2.
I'd recommend doing this after finishing off the boss in this area. Once that's done, you'll find that the tower is far more pleasant. Pop into the Monkey Dance to breeze through the tower, adjusting your shape as necessary to get through gaps and pushing blocks. If you don't make any pit stops or take any extra time whipping the little asps, you should get this with no trouble by zoning out into the third stage and saving.

Tassel Tower is found at the end of the first area of Tassel Town. You will enter the tower from the bottom and must reach the top in under two minutes, although it is unclear exactly when the timer begins. This is NOT missable because you can always return to the tower later and try again. This is certainly doable the first time you reach Tassel Tower (using the Monkey transformation), but it is much easier once you have obtained the Harpy transformation (see Fully Formed). You may want to practice climbing the tower a few times so you can memorize the best route.

Don't try to get this trophy the first time you enter the tower. It is much easier to overcome by replaying this stage, especially since you will have to return to it more than once in the story.
Here is a video of the passage as the Harpy, but I calmly got this trophy by climbing as a Monkey, changing to Shante at the moments when I need to move or break stone blocks.
