How to unlock the I Know Kung Fu achievement in Shenmue - Definitive Guide

The first move you can learn is jsut after the begining of the game. In Hazuki residence, leave the kitchen, turn right, and head all the way down to the end of the hallway. Enter the last door on the left, continue through the door directly ahead, turn left, and head to the end of the room where you will find a basket.

Open the basket to find the "Twin Blades" move scroll. Press cn_Y to open the inventory, locate the move scroll, and press cn_A to learn the move.

You can also learn moves by visiting the Antique Store Dabuita and buy moves.

Rising Flash - ¥500
Mud Spider - ¥1000
Crawl Cyclone - ¥1000
Twin Swallow Leap - ¥1000
Tiger Storm - ¥2000
Arm Break Fire - ¥3000

Learn them in your invetory. You can load your save if you don't want to loose your money.

Learn one move is enough for this achievement.

Twin Blades popped for me. Picked up, went to inventory collection then scrolls.

A faster way:
On day 2 I visited Fuku-san in the dojo. He asked if I wanted to train. I said yes. You will practice the Pit Blow move. Press forward+X (you'll be facing left so it'll be left+X).

After a few moves you'll stop and be asked if you want to continue training. I kept saying yes. After a little bit longer you'll stop training and you'll have learned the Pit blow move.

I just picked Twin Blades but won't let me learn the move, dunno why...

This is a bugged/glitched achievement!

I have learned several moves from scrolls and from other people yet the achievement is still locked.

After talking to Fuku about Ryo's father and Lan Di, you can learn a move from Fuku. Well, Fuku asks Ryo to spot him while he trains.

I went to the dojo on the second day.
Go over the moves by moving forward and square button to strike.
After leaving the dojo, you should get this trophy.

MISSABLE

Exit the kitchen, turn left and walk down the hall past your room. Go to the last room on the left. This is Fuku-san's room. Enter the room and use to zoom in on his desk. There is a scroll that can be picked up. Once you have acquired this scroll, open the game menu by pressing . Go to Scrolls, and select the scroll you just picked up to learn it. Doing so will unlock the trophy.

Optional (Recommended): There is another scroll in this house you can get to help with the “I Know More Kung Fu” trophy. Exit Fuku-san’s room and turn right. Head down the hall past your room, and the kitchen until the hall dead ends. Turn right, and then left at the next turn. Enter the first room on the left. Go through this room, and exit using the sliding door in the back of the room, into another hallway. To your left is a basket. Use to zoom in on it, then to interact with it. There is a scroll hidden in the basket. Pick it up. Again, open the game menu by pressing . Go to Scrolls and select the scroll you just picked up to learn it.
