Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

There are spoilers in this solution (in spoiler tags).

This achievement is missable, and is earned in the side-case 'Blindsided'. It can be started by eavesdropping on two men inside the Cordona Newspaper Building. You need to have completed 'The Muse From Abroad' main story case, or you won't be able to eavesdrop on these individuals and accept the side-case.

I recommend you make a save before starting this case, just in case you mess up (although you can reload multiple autosaves if you’re prompt). As a very quick aside, there is another missable achievement in this case that can be combined with this one, with a solution below.



For this achievement, progress through the case as usual until you are ready to make your accusation. The case isn’t difficult to work out on your own once you’re used to the game, but if you need a walkthrough, the linked video (credit to ‘Playthrough for Fun’) is a good one.



Once you get to the point of being ready to make your accusation (36:36 in video), you need to make the correct accusation, but then let them go rather than punishing them . Do not continue with the video once you get to the point!

This will condemn the above as guilty. However, when prompted/they confess, let them go, do not take them in.

Final note – If you aren’t getting the option to accuse, or she is asking you to leave her alone, you haven’t gotten enough evidence/progressed far enough. Following the video, you shouldn’t have this issue. If you’d prefer to work it out on your own, you need to have completely investigated the crime scene, the von Staub residence, the duelling club, and exhausted dialogue/provided evidence to both suspects until you get the option to accuse.

This will give you 1/3 of progress towards the following achievement also.
