This appears to be technically missable as I haven't yet seen a way to replay missions.
During the Prologue, after speaking to Jon about the cane, you can inspect it for clues and take it to the hotel receptionist. Speak to the receptionist with the cane 'pinned' and after some dialogue the achievement should pop.

After finished examining the cane, you are tasked to find the cane's owner. Instead of asking around the patrons at the bar, go ask the receptionist in the reception area instead. Trophy will appear after the dialogue is done.
