Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter

During the ‘Infamy’ case, while investigating the secret room in The Green Dragon Tavern, you discovered a photograph in Mr. Thorne’s belongings. It shows where his family had just moved to. Also in his belongings is a list of items he pawned. You read that the pawn shop is on Lambeth Street which must be near Mr. Thorne’s home.

Travel to Lambeth Street. Looking at the photograph, try to determine which doorway it is. Walk to the end of the street and turn right. A little ways down on the left is a ladder standing upright against a brick wall with a doorway to its right. Open the door, climb the stairs and knock on the door. An elderly woman will answer the door so do a character portrait on her and just inside the door. You will learn that she is a religious woman and is Jeremiah’s mother. After speaking with her, she will refuse you entry, so you need to find a way to get into her house.

Go back to Baker Street and change into your pastor outfit. Leave your apartment and you will see Wiggins across the street. Speak to him about an exorcism and he says he will take care of it. Return to Lambeth Street and you will discover that someone closed the door. Turn around and pick up some pebbles and throw them at Mrs. Thorne’s window. When you hit the window, a cutscene will play and you will be fake-running off neighborhood kids. Mrs. Thorne thanks you and invites you up for a cup of tea.

You will have a conversation with her and learn that she is very troubled over her son, Jeremiah. Continue with the conversation through dialogue choices and she reveals that her son may be possessed by the devil himself. When the conversation is over, Holmes convinces Mrs. Thorne that there is an evil presence in the house. He conducts a mock exorcism to expel the demons.

Performing a series of quicktime events (QTE), Wiggins helps you make her believe that there are demons in her house. These are the items you need to interact with:

• Bookcase
• Fireplace
• Kitchen window
• Stovetop
• Door

After interacting with all five items and completing the QTE, the achievement will unlock.
