How to unlock the Invincible achievement in Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom - Definitive Guide

In my playthrough, I did not find this difficult at all. I only felt uneasy about a few places in the game because of reasons I will list later. I did not use many health items at all and as soon as I got a feel for the battle system and how to fight, it was game over....for the game....not for me....since you can't get a game over...roll

If you are fighting and 2 people get knocked out and you do not think you can not finish the fight without winning. Simply press start and return to main menu. I recommend saving a lot so you do not get set back a long ways. Made that mistake, never again.

*Warning*
If you see that game over screen, you have to do a whole other player through...start to finish. It does not matter if you have back up saves or if you back out to the home screen. That playthrough is stained with a game over if you ever have those words appear on your screen.

Places & Reasons I had to back to menu:
-6 Pillars - Explorer Enemy: I was too low level for this "Boss" fight, He was lvl 50
-Ayodorn Yard - Guards: The last level of the game, there are a lot of guards here, be careful
-The Secret Rift - Renard - He is a bullet hell boss and can melt your team, lvl 50

If you are going for all achievements and collect good equipment, this should be no problem.

I'm thinking of grabbing this as part of the sale, are you able to make duplicate saves? Or copy saves to the cloud to back-up the game?

Yes, I think I had 6 different saves on it, but with the warning above, duplicate saving does not help you when getting this achievement. You do have to do 2 different playthroughs though so you have 2 chances. If it is for sale, I would pick it up. It was definitely an enjoyable rpg.

This achievement could cause some headaches considering how long the game is. You need to begin the game and complete it without all your characters ever dying in the same battle. The toughest part of this will be early on when you only have one or two characters, then as you get more there is more leeway as when one character dies another jumps in the fight. However, boss battles will still be scary, as they can dish out some quick damage through combos and knock a character out that you may have been relying on. If you're ever down to one character during a tough battle and worried you might not win, I would highly suggest pausing the game and returning to the main menu. It's better to lose a few minutes of progress than all of it. Obviously save often.

Note: You can't force quit the game or try to trick it in any way. If you see the Game Over screen, you'll need to start a new playthrough, so again be sure to quit the game if you're anywhere near to losing a battle. The game's first patch added an indicator on the save files to show if a death was recorded. If you see a Bloodor on your save file, you won't be getting this achievement using it.

Note 2: During the defense of Mantara City, you can get a Game Over if you take too long to kill the enemies and fire the cannons. The game does not make this clear but it DOES NOT count against you for this achievement, only if all your characters die from enemy damage.

You can't die for completing the game AT ALL. If you are thinking of saving the save to a flash drive and loading it after death, it won’t work. The game has an interesting death registration system. Each save has a game session identifier and all saves from one playthrough are linked to one identifier. As soon as you die, the game's hidden save marks your death for that playthrough, and all saves that have the same identifier immediately receive a rosette icon (a mark that you did die). Even if you left the game through the PS button and entered back, do not rush to rejoice at the absence of a rose. It will appear as soon as you load the save on all linked saves.
There are two options to get the trophy:
1) Play carefully and at the slightest chance of dying, go to the main menu.
2) If you die and go to the console menu, destroy the game and install it again. It would be easier to do with the disk version. There is a chance that death will not be registered in saves. The method is well worth the candle if you die somewhere towards the end of the game. if at the beginning, it’s easier to start the whole game over again.

While defending Manthara from invasion, there is a point where you can lose only because you act slowly. When you need to fire the cannons, you only have 5 minutes to shoot down 5 ships. Otherwise, it's a failure of the trophy...
