How to unlock the Battle to Help Others achievement in Shining Resonance Refrain - Definitive Guide

In order to unlock this achievement, you'll first need to have gone on at least four dates with Lestin before starting the final battle at the end of Opus 8. (In order to go on a date, you must first invite him to a Night Event by talking to him with cn_X in Marga, east of the entrance to the castle. After raising his affection enough, he will occasionally invite you to walk around town with him at the end of Night Events.)

If you are unsure whether or not you've gone on four dates, check to see whether or not you've got his House trait Elise's Disciple, as it is unlocked at the end of the fourth date. Note: According to a Japanese guide for the original game (Shining Resonance), Elise's Disciple may not unlock until the fifth date for some people. In that case, as long as you have been on four dates with Lestin the achievement should still unlock, as the game counts the actual number of dates, not the corresponding traits.

After triggering the event in the Lost Garden in Clavalle Crags, Yuma will think to himself that there's a chance he won't survive the final battle, and that he should talk to the one he cares for most so that they know his feelings. At this point, all of your party members will be standing by with hearts over their heads (assuming you've gone on at least four dates with them). Choose Lestin, and then proceed with the final battle. (At some point after defeating Georg, the game will ask you if you want to save; feel free to do so, as loading the save will place you at the entrance to Lost Garden just before triggering the final battle event allowing you to choose other characters to see their endings as well.) After the end credits, you'll get an extra cutscene where Lestin invites Yuma to return to Wellant with him and the achievement will unlock.

That I'm not sure of. I'd think you should be able to use the affection items since the post game save is still just before the final battle, but don't quote me on that.

Am I missing something, or are there no gifts to buy for Lestin to speed this along like every other character?

To be honest, it's been so long that I don't remember. I tried looking on the guide I used while playing the game, but it doesn't mention anything about items that make the characters happy, just basically what I put in the solution.

If you/someone you know can read Japanese, here's what I was using when I played the game. Could find something I overlooked. http://kouryakutsushin.com/shining-resonance/

Haha no worries! It's no big deal, just thought it was odd that every character had one but him. Thanks for the feedback

Can you date multiple characters enough times to get multiple endings with an appropriate checkpoint save or? Like, what's the most effective way to unlock most of these ending achievements?

You can date them all, just make sure you've dated them all enough to get their individual endings by the final battle. At that point, all you have to do is keep reloading the save (after beating the game, it gives you a save right before the final battle) and choose each person you need to get the ending of.

so just to clarify: even though liselotte sells affection items only in the post-game, you can't leave getting their affection up till the post-game in order to see their ending? So if you wanted to see all 8 endings you definitely must have dated them all 4 times prior to the final battle, it can't be reached more easily in post-game like some of the other things in this game?
