How to unlock the Dominate at Fatherhood achievement in Shoot Many Robots - Definitive Guide

You need a second controller for this method.

Just got this achievement after trying all of the above and none of them working. This method is for people who were in my situation (tried everything) or people who dont want to pointlessly grind when you can get this achievement quick (even though it is luck based).

Even though it's luck based, you can improve your odds of getting the item by:
# Playing in co-op
# Having someone that is not you be the Level 1 in the game with you (e.g. a guest account.
#Having pretty much every other item (then it will just be nuts or the carrier)

I was Level 49 when i got this achievement, just for reference.

So, the steps:

Step 1: Play Game (menu option)
Step 2:Profile you want the cheevo on should be player 1
Step 3: Sign in any account that has never played before (or make one if you dont have any) as player 2.
Step 4: Load up Adventure 2-DownTown RoadBlock-Normal
Step 5: Complete level and all bonus levels (and kill enemy spawn blimp) to maximise chances of the item dropping.

I got it on my first try, if you don't here's what you should do.

Step 6:Back to main menu, create a brand new profile for player 2 (so it's level 1 again) , play the same level again, rinse and repeat.
If Step 6 doesnt work, then try the survival level on Adventure 1.

FAQ:Use your best equipment to beat this the quickest, wearing lower level items will not make the carrier spawn, that makes no sense from coding terms.

Hope this helps, leave feedback if it helped you, or if it could be improved.

Heard similar things but could never get it to work. Saw your solution and gave it a shot using a fresh game for player 2 instead of my friends high level save. That seemed to do the trick first try. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you very much! Got it on my 5th try, just after my 2nd dummy character reached level 10. I'm so happy right now :D
I dont know if it matters, but I selected the level with my dummy character instead of my main one.

This worked for me. I tried 1-1 twice, 1-2 twice an 1-3 once and did not get it. Loaded up part two (Dirtfield Drive) and played Downtown Roadblock and got it on my first go. My dummy character was level 6 to start the match and ended at level 7. Thanks!

You simply have to find, buy and equip the Baby Carrier and play through any level wearing it. The idea behind this achievement is that the Baby Carrier adds nothing to your stats and the backpacks are very useful items.

Obtaining items is random so there's no quick or easy way to do this. You find items in the game world that unlock items in the shop (they're color-coded crates with icons on them letting you know what kind of item you just found). So just keep playing until you find and can afford this item:

Baby Carrier (Level 4, 1,170 nuts)

As you can see, this is basically a freebie achievement if you disregard the fact that finding the Baby Carrier is entirely based on luck. I didn't find it until I was level 28, but once I did, I obviously had far more money than needed and beating a level with it is not as much of a drawback as using the astronaut's gear.

I got this in Metal Slag Trail, Factory. I was level 25 (new save file). once I unlocked the Factory, i did not continue on, I re-played that level about ten times. HINT: after opening the crates, about half way through the lvl., the crates that you need the E.V.A to get, go back up. Go in to what i call the "blue doors" to find 2 more crates,

I know, I have the same problem but with another item. It's a level 2 gun and I just cannot find it in any difficulty or level! I've posted on the official forum asking for an explanation on how it all works, so hopefully they'll respond so I can update this solution.

BTW, by Level 4, I mean your character, not level in the game.

I know that despite your level you can get the game to drop you lower level items because I keep unlocking lower level items while I'm a rank 50...I had a boatload of money so I just kept buying lower level items from the shop in hopes of getting the game to start dropping me more items, but I don't know if that works..It seems every game I am in other people get like 10 special crates a game, but I always get nothing.

I basically played all day at level 50 and no baby...I made a new save and got the baby carrier around level 20...No idea what happened, but I guess if your like me and you hit a high rank and do not get the baby carrier then you should maybe try to start another save game.

So equipping bad items might work? I will try this. I am also Level 50 now and replayed the first set of levels over and over - no baby carrier. Perhaps I will try the USB stick method as well.

I am not lucky in these things as well - it is just like the 50 GS Bee in The Last Remnant. Most people got it within their first ten tries, but I needed over 200 tries...

On second thought, it might be better not aiming for completion in this one ;)

Of course I could not stop trying it ;) But equipping Speed+ Items worked perfect for me. I got through the first level in no time and sometime in my 5th or 6th run new items began to appear. Somewhere in my 15th run I got the baby carrier finally.

All in all - "only" 60-80 runs for me. I was really lucky compared to the 50 GS bee in The Last Remnant. Nonetheless, these luck-based achievements suck.

I found mine in level 1.2
I guess you have to fulfill some requirements to get a certain crate to drop.
Mine dropped in bonus wave 4 from one of last 'big' enemies.
I got through this wave without being hit at all.

Maybe that helps.

I have heard the second level in chapter 1 (survival) is the best to get it, but still trying myself. playing each of the chapter 1 maps until I get it. I only am missing the baby carrier so every item i get is a nut sack. Every time you see a nut sack though, at least you know you had a chance at it. Survival map gave me about 21 sacks, so I think survival is by far the best chance to get it, but still need luck and a lot of patience for some people.

I just got mines today at level 25. It's a very random spawning item like you stated but I kept going back between the first map and then the survival but got tired of doing the first map because it ends so quickly so I stuck with survival and it came eventually. I gave you a thumbs up because I felt your pain of aggrivation.

Finally got it solo on the very first level after about 25 hours of fresh character re-starts...what a nightmare! If I had to make an uncertified suggestion try to skip anything on the level that typically doesn't spawn crates. This will keep you at level 2 for a longer period of time. Still think it's just getting lucky tho : (

I think the game makes any item drop, even common items, more rare as you level up. It's probably a good idea for new players to stop at normal and make sure they get the astronaut and baby gear before they start on hard and level up too far...

I followed the devs advice and went back and did about 5 random levels on normal and finally got my level 2 weapon to drop, so the same should work for the carrier.

I finally got it !

I put my save on a memory stick so i can start a fresh new campaign on my HDD with the same account. I just played the first level of the game until i was level 15, and no Baby Carrier.

I went back to my level 50 save and played the first level for 2 hours in a row ( with +%speed gear) and after something like the 80th run, i got it. In total it must have took me 200++ runs to get it.

Never been lucky, never will...

Crap crap crap CRAP achievement!!! I spent close to 15 hours farming for this item exclusively. I tried every trick in the book; buy all the items in the store, lose no health, equip low level items, start a new character (I levelled 3 up to 20 farming for this item..), NOTHING worked. I can play the first two adventures blindfolded without any problem whatsoever.

I read on the official forums that one of the moderators said that loot has a higher drop ratio when certain criteria are met, such as nut multiplier, and whether you're playing single player or multi player (latter being better). This had me thinking that playing online would grant me higher chances of getting this item, but heck no. The broken quick match system the dev's decided to jot down on a piece of paper and throw it at their monitors in hopes of getting decent multi player support would only put me (a LEVEL ONE) into insane matches. GAH! Just thinking about it makes me want to shoot many developers.

Anyway, rant aside, what eventually made this annoying baby drop was plugging in a second controller and playing ONE(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) game on adventure two's survival mission Downtown Roadblock. It was the FIRST item to drop even. Oh gawd. So if you're stuck, like I was, instead of wasting a billion hours trying to farm each level, plug in another controller and replay the survival missions. Wish you the best of luck. I'm done, BWAHAHAHA!

I just want to point something out, and quite frankly am surprised that nobody else has not yet. It seems like there have been hundreds of different possibilities to get this shitty item.

Please stop claiming you know how to pop this. There is no rhyme or reason. If you tried something and it worked on your first try. All that fucking means is you were a lucky bastard. Because if this wasn't true, I would have the achievement like you. But I tried the hundred of bullshit scenarios you all shared and none of it worked. So if your selling a four leaf clover, then I'm buying it.

I just wanted To add, that if you dont care about losing everything you had achieved in the came (linke Lvl. 50 and your guns etc.) and only want this achievment, than you can delete your gamingprogress in the xBoxmenu/settings and than play from the beginning as a Lvl.1 and in the Mission 1-1 and 1-2.

I think, its the fastes way to geht this achievement if you where Art a high lvl or tried the guieds above.

That way, after trying the other ways above, which didnt work out for me, i only needed 1 try To play the first 2 missions after it worked.

Hope, it helps. ^^
And please leave feedback, i would like to know if it works for others too. Thx

I did the first 2 Missions on Normal. (If it does not apear, just redo the Mission untill you are at lvl 10.Missions. If it doesnt work, just repeed deleting the Staats. But it shouldnt take to long to get it.

But I got it at the second Mission on normal. But remeber, it apears random, but most likely at the first 2 Mission.

I bought the shotgun (if you have it) thats the easyest and fastest way To kill the enemies at a low lvl.

This was the only method that worked for me. I started a new character for the 3rd time and got the carrier on the last enemy in the first level 1-1. Anyone going for this achievement should use a USB and just start a new game, plugging in a second controller with a level 40+ is going to make the carrier's % of dropping significantly lower as well as playing through 1-1 as a high level.

Item drops from enemies or from a crate but the item drop is random and the possibility that an item drops is random. To increase the chances of itemt dropping play with another person as opposed to solo.
For this achievement you need to buy the Baby Carrier. The developers suggest playing 1-1 Happy Nut Road : Farm Town to get the item drops.
If you're a level higher than 10 while playing 1-1 you'll find you'll never get loot drops. To fix this problem play either with a second controller signed in as a guest or a friend who is lower than a Level 10 through a custom match. Either way the second controller or friend should choose 1-1 and should start it instead of your main account.
If you're playing with a second controller but have trouble controlling both controllers run ahead of the level to get the second controller killed. Once the second controller is killed you do not have to worry about camera issues or not being able to progress because the second controller is behind the level.
While playing the level make sure to shoot the loot crates.
Personally using the second controller method I was able to get the item even though my character was around Level 45.
If you do not have enough nuts to purchase the items then replay a Normal or Hard roadblock level solo. Personally I replayed the first Downtown Roadblock in Normal.

3 friends and I tried wolfzkrieger's method. We tried happy nut road about 18 times and we never got the baby carrier. However, by myself I found it on level 6. The rest of my friends got it on level 4 and 5. On the 1st run through! Moral of this story is... If you don't get it on happy nut road, keep playing until level 6. You're sure to get it by then. Good luck!

Got mine today, I'm level 50
Signed in guest account so that was level 1, I made sure I didn't kill anything until the guest was down (when you are down you don't earn XP therefore keeping the guest at level 1 all the time)
I played through level 1-1, 1-2 and I picked it up on level 1-3! :)

Previous to this I had run through adventure 1 for a good few hours and tried a number of tactics from here and x360a.
It is a random spawn, but if you still haven't got it this method is worth a shot

Good luck to you all

If you're really not getting this and just want it done like I did, here's what I recommend.

Start farming out the first two levels in Happy Nut Road (start with 1, then switch to 2 when it starts getting stingy) until you have no drops left in the "1 to 10" item range, then going to Dirtfield Drive and farming Downtown Roadblock. A successful run of that will yield more than 800 kills, and at least for me, the Baby Carrier. You may be able to just farm that level outright but it can be a bit difficult. Here's my set-up for it, just incase you're struggling:

Fast Firing Woodpecker / Atlantean Deep Freeze / Beer Hat / "Howdy, Weasel" Pack / Emperor's New Pants

It's just what worked for me. I tried all the other solutions so many times over and never got it on main accounts, or even second accounts. Doing it like this though, I got it on my first run of Downtown Roadblock after doing the aforementioned farming. And I only recommend doing that just because you can still theoretically get the drop on those two levels.

This is another achievement that revolves around luck. You will need to find and equip the following item and play through an entire Mission.

Baby Carrier
-Required Level: 4
-Cost: 1170 Nuts

Higher chances to find this item on Level 1-1

0
0
The baby carrier is a random equipment drop. To equip it you need to purchase it from the shop and be at least rank 4 to use it. Simply complete any mission afterward.

So for anyone who happens to be trying this God-awful achievement these days, I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. After trying probably 100+ runs using every other guide's method and variations thereof, this is how I finally got it:

1. Make an alternate Gamertag player 1
2. Make your main Gamertag player 2
3. Start a new save file with both 'tags
4. Grind stage 1-1

Keep in mind there's still the chance it just has an ungodly low drop rate, but I find it crazy how I found it 3 separate times for the 2nd player (the first 2 times it dropped my alt was player 2) using this method, so maybe it has a higher change of dropping for player 2? I dunno but good luck!

18 Feb 2023 14:43

After trying pretty much all other solutions to no avail for about 10+ hours. I decided to play the game normally on a new save file. The hellish item finally spawned on oil fields, which is stage 5 (area 2). I always reset in accordance to other guides, but I never seemed to get anywhere with a new or level 50 character.

So, if you’re like me and are tired of getting nowhere for what seems like forever, play the game as if you’re playing for the first time. I came up with the idea after seeing various comments stating they got it on a random level.

I wish you the best of luck, literally.

Once you have unlocked the baby carrier, purchase it from the shop and equip it. Then simply go in and clear any level and this trophy will pop. Obviously the first level is the easiest, and it does count for this trophy.

The Baby Carrier can be used after level 4 and costs 1170 nuts.

It seems to be random which level you get which item from, but the levels will correspond to the equipment's level. I personally got the Baby Carrier while replaying the earliest levels, in Happy Nut Road.

The Baby Backpack will unlock at level 4. All you have to do is buy it for 1170 nuts, put it on yourself and complete any level. I advise you to go through level 1, track 1
